By: Paris Vaangard
I. Melpomene,
Muse of Tragedy
Thou sung of Orpheus love for Eurydice,
Who failed to save her...from gloomy dis.
V. Of Romeo and Juliet, the star crossed lovers who took their life.
"Whose misadventured pietoues overthrow ended their parents strife"
Of Hero and Leander, seperated, but united at the bottom of the sea.
Of Macbeth, who sold himself to dark greed.
Who followed demonic visions with his deeds.
X. Of Antigones kinship loyalty,
No force could break her faithfullness, not even Thebes royalty.
Of Saul, Israels first fleashly Lord,
Whose grief wast so great, he felleth upon his own sword.
Of Oisins voyage to Tir nan og,
XV. Who dwelled with Niam for 3 days, but returned to a foreigan home.
Men may forget thy name Melpomene,
But they ne'er forget thy stories.
Melpomene,my beautiful pale lady,
Dont say no, make thy ways unshady.
XX.Thou spent countless, sleepless nights with the masters,
Sophocles, Thespis, Aescylus and Euripedes.
Sing, Sing, Sing Melpomene.
Sing of tragedy, sing of sorrow and sing of of disasters.
Thou hast taught me that weakness can be an undoing.
XXV.That there are some things that are best left not pursuing.
I will forever guard thy honor Melpomene,
Aid me in crafting my tragedies.
Lady of Helicon, do hear my plea.
When the dawn has broken......do not leave me.
XXX.O how i do love thee, my beautiful Melpomene.
