Pride: Outlands (Hunter)

Nguvu wants to climb the ranks of the Outlands and become a respected lion by all. He has his eye on the highest ranks, but so long as he has lions looking up to him (or looking out for him, because ruling by fear is just fine too) then that's fine with him. He doesn't mind fooling around to establish his line in the pride, but eventually he plans to take a 'queen' for himself with as much ambition as he does, if not more. He admires those who take responsibility into their own paws and achieve their dreams by clawing their way up the social ladder, as he intends to.

Information: Mkali is an energetic young Lord. He's very proud of his family line and his part within it. He desperately wants to make his parents proud by finding a good match, either with a respected lioness within the Pridelands, or a diplomatic match from another pride. He's heard distantly of the Dwarves, and of the Dawnlands, but he hasn't any reason to look beyond the Pridelands.

He may not go seek out a match himself, he has time yet to settle, after all. However, if a headstrong lioness, from within his pride or outside of it, came to knock him off his paws, he'd certainly pay close attention to her. He likes the idea of someone pursuing him, rather than the other way around. (Provided his parents don't arrange something on his behalf, of course.)

Information: Kupatikana values physical strength over social power. He may be a hunter in the Outlands, but he is is a brutal hunter in the groups he goes out with. Rumor has it that he's gone head to head with a water buffalo before and come out the better for it. A lion of few words, he values loyalty and monogamy in any relationships he sets out to have.

While he would not begrudge a lioness who came to him only for his strong genetics, ultimately he wishes to find a lioness who may stay only at his side, who he may protect and bring back trophies from the hunts he goes on.

The heir of the Dwarf King, seeking a political match, or a strong dwarf lady with good traditional resolve. Also seeking a secret love affair with a lion.
Information: The Heir of the Dwarf King, Aurum requires a relationship with a dwarven lady that comes from a strong or imposing bloodline of her own. Alternatively, he may seek out a political match to help build alliances with the dwarves. News reached his ears about the Ladies of the Pridelands being around his age. perhaps that would be a suitable match, if he could convince one of them (or more likely, if his parents could convince them) to come and entreat with him in the Mountain.

Of course... lionesses do not make his heart flutter. It is the strong dwarven lions that often catch his eye, though he does his best to avoid dwelling too much on them. He travels often down to The Forge merely to inspect the products of their labor, not the laborers themselves, surely not.

Besides, he loves being the Heir of the Dwarves, he would never renounce his title, and as Heir, he is expected to continue the bloodline of kings. So... he must take a female mate. (Open for potential drama, like if he makes a political match, or a match with a lady in the Dwarvenlands pride, and manages to secret away a lion love on the side.)


Pride: Snowglade Traders I/T (Crafter)
Seeking: Lifemate - Any Gender - Monogamous - Forever Snowglade
Information: Kung'aa is a large lion, both tall and with enough muscle to body a buffalo if he set his mind to it. Among his pride, the Snowglade Traders, he is appreciated for his ability to wield heavy materials and he's known in particular for crafting shields from large slabs of wood and clay. He's made a name for himself for being able to carve intricate detail work with his claws and teeth. Often referred to as others as mated to his work, he does have the habit of being consumed by his crafts.

I'd like to see him paired with a mate who will remind him to eat, or who would take care of him when he forgets to take care of himself. Because he's not the type to go out adventuring into the wilderness to meet newcomers, it would be better for him if this lion was already apart of, or had recently joined, the Snowglade Traders.


Pride: Snowglade Traders (Trader)
Seeking: Lifemate - Females - Monogamous - Snowglade Traders Forever
Information: Baridi is a smooth-talking lion who enjoys making deals with other lions, especially if those deals are angled in such a way that he's getting the better end of it. With a fast-talking sales pitch and a desire to meet others, he was a natural Trader in his pride and it's led him the ability to go out and meet many other lions from all walks of life!

I imagine a lady love he may find out on the road. He'd much prefer if she came home to wait at the Glade for him - he may cheat a lion out of their meal, but he's loyal when it comes to love and he'll always come back to his lady fair... once he meets her, anyway.

He could mate with a lioness he meets who chooses to join the pride, or one who is already apart of the pride!


Pride: Dawnlands (Loner)

Information: Doa is seeking a matron and huntresses to dote on and love. A soft-hearted cuddly male, he may not be a traditional protector, but he's a prime cub-sitter and storyteller. His ideal scenario would be cubsitting a hoard of his children while his wives are out hunting, and then grooming and cuddling them all when he returns.

Despite being born in the Dawnlands, he's had such rotten luck with finding a matron to take him in (and he doesn't wish to be a sub-male) or a lioness to form a harem with him, that he has quietly been moving further and further out towards the borders of the Dawnlands. Maybe... Maybe he could find a lady to love out in the Rogue lands, though it would hurt his heart to leave his home.


Pride: Pridelands (Hunter)

Information: Kahawia is about the most average lion you could meet. He doesn't wish for ambition or rank change, he's happy to have grown up in the Pridelands to become a hunter. He wants to find a lioness to settle down with, and have cubs, but that doesn't have to happen on any specific deadline. He wants to lead a comfortable life, with an easy routine.

It is my desire that he find a lady in the Pridelands, who has natural colors, like he does.

Pride: The Dvergr (Bard)

Information: Kuznia is a strong-minded Dwarven lady who demands excellence from any potential suitor. Being among the Durin Clan, of which she is very proud, she wants to ensure the best possible match so that Clan Durin can continue to be the best of all of them! She will literally sing the praises of her Clan and her pride - she's a Bard after all - and recount their histories through her many heart-moving ballads.

She's been long vying for the eye of one of the Prideland royals. She would of course prefer to be seen at the shoulder of their princeling, Moyo, but she's heard tale that their younger lords and ladies have grown into adulthood. She supposes that she could perceive herself at Mkali's side, if it were for the good of the Dwarves. Still, nothing is yet set in stone (aha, get it?) and her eyes are ever wandering to find the perfect mate, because perfect is the only thing she will accept.


Pride: Bonespeakers (Seer)
Seeking: Lifemate - Any Gender - Monogamous - Forever Bonespeakers
Information: Kiakili is a former Outlander. She used to be called a soft-heart by pridemates and when she thought she found a lion who liked that aspect of her, she instead found out that it was just an attempt to secure his lineage. Shocked and betrayed, she fled the Outlands and found the Bonespeakers shortly there after. Feeling protected by the matriarchal society of the pride, and having a deep appreciation for their leader, Yahna, Kiakili has been there ever since, raising her cubs to become Seers and doing her very best as well.

She would do best with a lifemate who was a lost soul that she could help guide, or someone who knows exactly who they are. Ultimately, so long as they can love a lioness with a gentle heart and they join the Bonespeakers, they're plenty welcome in Kiakili's company.


Pride: Pridelands (Huntress)

Information: Born in the Pridelands, among natural pelted royalty, Tufaha sticks out like a sore dewclaw and knows it. As a youth, she would spend her days 'hunting' on the outskirts of the pride, casting looks out into the rogue lands and wondering if she may be more suited to the life of a rogue or even *gasp!* an Outlander, for her markings and colors were certainly more suited to one than of the royal line of lions.

Eventually, she did find someone who fancied her for her colorations. His name was Badimo and she thought for certain that he was her one true love, someone who she could bring back to her pride and love on for the rest of her days. Instead, she was left wanting - after spending a perfect week together, he vanished and she was never able to find his tracks again.

It wasn't until some of the Guards came back having chased off a pack of nosey Outlanders that she recognized the scent on their paws and realized that her perfect Badimo was an Outlander himself. Struck to her core about how dreadful Outlanders really were, she vowed to remain in the Pridelands and raise her cubs there. She prayed that they would inherit her markings and not any features of their father. Upon their arrival, she was blessed with an answer to her prayers. She's since been a dedicated mother, impressing upon how dreadful Outlanders are to her cubs well into adulthood, and taking care to show them how much she loves them.

Moving forward, Tufaha would be best suited with a Pridelander who doesn't ask questions about the father of her cubs. She is very self-deprecating when it comes to her appearance, so someone who wooed her would do better talking about what a great mother she is, or how responsible she is in her duties as a Hunter, these are the things she most values about herself. She values responsibility and stability when it comes to finding a mate, and is insecure when it comes to courting lions with natural pelts, though she finds them incredibly attractive, secretly.


Pride: Pridelands (Huntress)
Seeking: Lifemate - Any Gender - Monogamous - Forever Pridelands
Information: Umbala loves love! She isn't picky about who she might fall in love with, lion or lioness, rogue or Pridelander... so long as they join her in the Pridelands, of course! She could care less about the color of your pelt and more about the brightness of your voice! She aspires to become an Artisan like her mother, but she hasn't settled on a focus to pursue. Singing, dancing, storytelling... There's so much to choose from!

She would best be suited with a partner as enthusiastic about life as she is, or someone more relaxed who can ground her when she's in an inspirational fit of indecision! So long as she can love on them with cuddles, they'll always get the sneak peaks to whatever she plans on showing off to the rest of the pride!


Pride: Bonespeakers (Seer)
Seeking: Lifemate - Any Gender - Monogamous - Bonespeakers Forever
Information: Amini was born and raised in the Bonespeakers and she has no intentions of moving out. She found her calling in what she calls "friend finding" - which is like doing spells to find your one true love, but instead is to find a friend of a like mind! Her trick is that she is friends with so many lions both in the pride and outside of it, that she's bound to know someone that has a shared interest with any of her clients! And if she doesn't find any... well, she can always direct them to find a friend in the Night Plains. So far, she has a 100% success rate! No unhappy customers! (Or none that have lived to file a complaint against her.)

She isn't actively looking for a mate, but that doesn't mean she isn't open to one! She feels more comfortable in the company of lionesses and feminine males and rolls her eyes at the showy, standoffish lions who occasionally pass through seeking advice from her and her pride members.


Pride: Dawnlands (Loner)
Seeking: Lifemate - Males - Monogamous - Dawnlands Forever
Information: Proud and ambitious, Madoa is ready to start a harem and is determined to be the best Matron that's ever been! Well, except for her mother's harem, where she's come from, that's truly the best harem. But she'll be the second best harem and everyone will be so impressed with her and her huntresses - why, she might even catch the Empress' eye!

A young loner looking for love and status in a sea of lionesses all looking for the same thing... It certainly crowds the market, but Madoa hasn't lost hope yet! She won't ever leave the Dawnlands, not even if she doesn't find a lion to claim her until she's well into her seasons, but she's not going to let that stop her. Why... she'll drag a lion out of the rogue lands herself if she has to!


Pride: Dawnlands (Loner)
Seeking: Lifemate - Males - Monogamous - Dawnlands Forever
Information: It is Mlima's ultimate goal to become apart of the Empress' harem, purely for the sentiment that the Empress' Champion is the most attractive lion that she's ever laid eyes on. However, because this goal is so far off and she'd have to catch the Empress' eye to get in, she's coming to terms that this goal is at best, unrealistic and at worst, impossible.

So, that leaves her with the options of forming her own harem, or joining someone else's. She doesn't exactly fancy the idea of being bossed around by another lioness, but she doesn't want to go to the trouble of tracking down a male to convince either. She may stick to being a loner for a while, and unless another lion comes along that perks her interest as much as the Empress' mate walks by, Mlima may stay a loner until she dies.



Pride: Pridelands (Huntress)
Seeking: Lifemate - Male - Monogamous - Could leave the Pridelands
Information: With her dark markings, Kambi is used to hunting during the evening and as such, has adapted to a nocturnal lifestyle. She prefers it when it's dark out anyway, because her pelt doesn't absorb the heat so intensely. She caused some offense when she declared she wouldn't be hunting in the typical rotation with the other lionesses who preferred to hunt in the hot sunlight. Eventually the matter was let go, but she occasionally gets a weird glance when she gets up to go solo hunting, as others are coming in to sleep.

While it doesn't bother her, exactly, she doesn't feel quite as connected to the pride as she used to as a cub and lately she's been spending less time hunting and more time staring out across the borders and wondering if there might be a different pride that her heart calls to more. Or, at the very least, if she was out in the rogue lands, she would continue as she was: hunting for herself and setting her own schedule.

Kambi will eventually leave the Pridelands, unless a lion within is able to convince her to stay. When she leaves, she will go to the Dwarvenlands, to seek refuge from the sun's heat under the mountain (big irony if she ends up working the Forge.) Lions I would most consider for her are ambitious Pridelanders, Dwarven lions or rogues that she might meet on her way to the Dwarves, who would join that new pride with her.


Pride: Pridelands (Huntress)
Seeking: Lifemate - Males - Monogamous - Could leave the Pridelands
Information: Fedha grew up in the Pridelands and always fancied that she would live her life out there, finding a mate, having a litter and raising them, and then continuing to have cubs until she couldn't any more, in which case she would become the grass, and the gazelle would eat the grass and -

Oh dear, she got off track again, didn't she?

Well the point is, she hasn't found a mate, and so her life plan has been, upsettingly, halted. At this point in her life, she's so fed up with waiting around for the one that she's about to throw her entire plan into the watering hole and go track down her happily ever after herself, and settle wherever she finds it.

That could be up in the snow, where the Snowglade Traders are forming, for her pelt would surely fit in with their colorations, or out into the Dwarvenlands, where to investigate these multi-toed lions with their weird colors and specific traditions.

For the time being, she is a member of the Pridelands, but if she doesn't get a mate in that pride soon, then she's going to leave it in search of better things.


Pride: Pridelands (Huntress)

Information: Ukwaju is a spicy lioness! She's got a fighting spirit that will lead her to realize her potential as a Guard soon enough! She loves to wrestle with her fellow guards and she wants to be regarded as the best among them, so she's often asking others to spar with her, or being the first to volunteer to go out on a patrol! Some lions might call her a try hard, but this is truly her calling!

A spitfire through and through, Ukwaju will banter back and forth with you all day - unless she needs to rush off for a patrol, but she'll be back to finish it as soon as it's over!

She would love a partner who would back her up in a fight and in an argument!


Pride: Night Plains (Murderer)
Seeking: Fling - Males - N/A - Night Plains Forever
Information: Garjana hates you. She hates me. She hates everyone. She doesn't want to be on this singles list, but by virtue of not having a mate, she's getting put here.

Most easily compared to a praying mantis rather than a lion, Garjana will entertain a possible suitor for a night and eat him right after the deed is done. She doesn't have the time to tolerate fools, which is what everyone is, besides herself. Lionesses have been known to eat cubs in times of starvation, but Garjana will eat her own cubs purely because she can't be bothered to care for them and their mewling is irritating.

If her cubs go missing (whether they've been eaten by others, or stolen by a concerned pride member or rogue) she doesn't care. She has cubs to fulfill the motherly itch her body undergoes and then cares little about what happens to them after they're born.

Garjana will very likely not experience an arc in which her whole personality changes for "the right lion." Which meeeeans that any cubs she has should probably be adopted by other lions. Think of her as a surrogate mother! A very twisted, unpleasant surrogate mother.

Pride: Night Plains (Murderer)
Seeking: Lifemates (2) - Any Gender - Polyamorous - Will eventually leave to create their own pride.
Information: Mchochezi identifies as genderfluid (though they don't know the exact word, they'd describe themselves as being both male and female interchangeably, and generally use they/them pronouns.)

Mchochezi (scavenger) is apt to their name. They are careful in removing bone from meat and while they'll pass their flesh offerings to the higher ups, they insist on using the bones inside as trophies or tradeable goods. With a belief that every life is sacred, they will use every piece of a corpse in order to perserve the life that they took. They despise messy/wasteful eaters and have a hard time keeping their disdain from their face in the company of their pride members, which has earned them their many scars.

Eventually, they will renounce the Night Plains for their disregard for the lives of others and the greed in which they take lives only to satisfy their own needs. They will move into the desert, a seemingly uninhabitable wasteland where none would dare follow them from their former pride, and start their own Pride, one where life is honored and precious, but this is a while yet to come.
