It's not really hard to see what makes it a love song, especially since he says "You see flowers in these weeds" like 10 times, not man and woman kissy kissy love though, mother to son love.
And isn't "everything went numb" the perfect followup? Start it off with a love song and then follow it up with a song about crime >:U
