I met Dr. Jane Goodall today. It was the most awe-inspiring two hours I've ever spent sitting on the floor. She's a sharp, witty, powerful woman who truly BELIEVES in all that's good in the world. We talked for a few hours, and eventually I just got so overcome that I started crying.
So I'll leave you with the few words she gave me. It's a saying in one of the tribes in the Congo, where she lived for so long, translated somewhat.
Quote: Without tears in the eyes, there can be no rainbows in the heart.
As someone who gets emotionally touched at the drop of a hat, I think I will keep that with me forever.
