Choji was formerly part of Asuma's team 10 group of Genins consisting of Shikamaru and Ino, or the Ino-Shika-Cho team, much like his father's team. Choji has been a close friend of Shikamaru ever since his time in the Leaf Ninja Academy. Choji is also an expert when it comes to eating food and is often seen eating something. Choji is also part of the Clan. He was also part of the 5 man team that attempted to bring Sasuke back. On the way to rescue Sasuke, he fought Jirobo of the Sound Four and defeated him with the help of his three soldier pills. Choji along with is partner Ino and Shikamaru was sent by Tsunade to help Naruto in his search for Mizuki, after a prison break.
