Two days ago I visited a small city covered in glass. It was raining ice outside and I heard the battering, which reminded me of hail. They took us to a poorly lit room that smelled of formaldehyde. It was so sickly sweet that I lost all my appetite, though it is known to enhance it. Then I saw the bodies of dead people on the steel tables lacerated by scalpel. There was no skin as only the interior musculature and their connective networks of tendons remained oxidizing in the air. Some fingers survived as well as a nose here and there. However, I could not see them as bodies of people but as beasts of burden unburdening their interior secrets at last.
