If you're open with the fact that you have internet relationships, people shun you and call you desperate, pathetic, idiotic, ect. And it's true, there are a lot of bimbos on gaia posting "I need a b/f" crap. And they get flamed. But what about the people with an IQ? You still tell them, "GAWD, go outside, meet someone."
However, I posted a topic a few days ago, stating a person I actually know in real life asking me out online. And I stated it was pretty damn funny. And I got chastised for it. I had all these people telling me, "THERE IS A PERSON AT THE OTHER COMPUTER, YOU b***h! -uberflame-" I don't disagree with the fact that yes, there is another person on that other pc that sent me the offer. And how that whole thread spawned a "internet relationships are real too" fiasco, made me wonder.
Was is just the crowd at the time on GD that influences the overall perspectives you get? I posted the thread around midnight, and from looking at some of the threads popping up today, there seems to be a different crowd and vibe.
But honestly, which one is it. If I say "Yes I have internet relationships." Then I get flammed, being called pathetic and whatnot. However, if I laugh at the fact that someone wanted to initiate a relationship online, I am called immature and inconsiderate. GD, I can't win with you.
