Dude!! I never thought I could so accurately discribe exactly how I feel in somthing I wrote just for kicks. These are lyrics...not a poem.
Lend your ears I’ve got a tale Of a Good ol' girl and A Love Gone Stale The chilling breeze of a love gone cold That only hearts that beat can know I stared up high as the sun beat down At a tower that’s shadows thawed the ground And I gave into a voice That left my heart without a choice
But reaching - is it feeling? Not yet. Not yet.
So you’ve found a friend Catch the Moonlight if you can Cause the feelings taking over every thought And You have Never Felt So Lost
I spend a day half off the ground On a tower only romanticists have found Their sonnets speak of fallen hearts As often as broken starts But I didn’t head their strong advice It was a choice I’d made in the back of my mind
But Reaching - is it feeling? Not Yet. Not Yet. And it’s higher again Catch the moonlight if you can Cause you’re almost there and then you have to stop: Is what you want on top?
But I saved you from a tower tall And in one last gaping fall I broke a thousand tiny bones And a broken heart when I found myself on the ground Alone.....
But reaching isn’t feeling Not now... Not ever. My spirit’s at its end and the Moonlight’s gone again Inside I’m caught and then I’m tossed around But even you cannot bring me down.
:]] Guess who this one goes out to.......
