Aaahh, so on Friday my family and I drove down to Mt Tongarero (LOTR film site), took us 6 hours but we got there! It was friggin cold, and we were stuck in a pokey little motel with creaky bunk beds but all in all. So then the next day which was Saturday *wink* we drove up the mountain to one of the 9 carparks o_O and hitched a lift on a bus all the way to the skii fields. This was my first time seeing/playing with snow, it was damn cold but so worth it! It was beautiful, the clouds kind of drifted away from the mountain and left it looming over the fields like some weird LOTR-sy giant mountain thing. But ahh, so beautiful! The snow wasn't what I expected though. It was hard...Like ice...What happened to snow like in the Calvin and Hobbes books!? Oh well, we went for a walk down to the lifts and my father starts throwing snowballs at me, I run, you can't run in snow btw, and I fall. lmao, it really was funny, one minute I'm running and laughing then I just fall down flat on my face. Bruised chin and knee, but who cares!? SNOW! So we rented some sliding mats which turned out to be quite dangerous, one whipped me across my face but it was so cold I didn't feel it anyway. So we were sliding down the slope having a good ol time. Someone broke their leg. I felt sympathy for them. That was a holiday that was really a holiday. Even though we still had to drive back for another 6 hours it was all worth it! rofl Edit: if anyone has seen my sig (about my latest quest), please pm me and let me know, it's gone for a walk somewhere...
