Enjoy a good horror book? Love detailed information, highlighting all the gory bits? Then 'Sara's Face' is the book for you! With countless detailed gory scenes and a highly horrific plot, 'Sara's Face' bye Melvin Burgess proves to be a thriller! Heart attacks at every second and overall disgusting, it's no wonder I nearly died reading it!
No, seriously, it's horrific. I only read about a little more than halfway, before I got scared shitless. I got so scared of the dark and kept looking at the walls for blood. I even considered getting the ol' night light out. (Didn't work sadly stare ) I'm not one for horror stories or movies, so I was so goddamn scared crying Then my sister was in my room and she said to me "Are you sure you wanna be alone? All alone? In the dark? I felt like bashing her. But instead, I started crying. Just to make her feel guilty. And she was XD She slunk off and she was saying from her room "I'm sorry I'm sorry!" Damn right.
Here's the blurb.
Times have changed. Young girls dream of operations like this. It's like buying new clothes these days. Sara Carter wants to be famous. Fame is her obsession. So when legendary rock star Jonathon heat offers her star training and the cosmetic surgery she thinks she wants, Sara can't believe her dream will come true. But Jonathon Heat doesn't want Sara's talent. Jonathon Heat wants Sara's Face.
I got so chilled to the bone. To find out what happens in the story, the basics, scroll down.
Jonathon Heat is basically a monster. He's had plastic surgery so many times his face has started to decompose. It's all meaty and bloody with skin hanging off so he wears a mask over it. Sara, a beautiful girl with exceptional beauty, "accidentally" falls face down onto and iron and gets a triangular mark on her left cheek. While she's in hospital, Jonathon Heat visits her and offers to turn her into a star. Sara agrees and she goes to his house to stay. There's a lot of people involved but I'll just talk about him and her. So there's also this maid person in the house and she sees Sara staring at nothing and gasping. Later on, Sara tells her it was a ghost. There's a few parts in the book, where the ghost is described in great detail. Here's one. The ghost is standing at the bottom of Sara's bed and there's a curtain around the bed. Sara wakes up to its screaming and can see the breath of the ghost push the cloth slightly. The ghost has no face, it's been cut off very neatly. But it still has it's eyeballs and they pop out of its face. Sara tries to comfort it but her hands pass through. When she looks at them, they're smeared in blood. The ghost floats through the door. From hereon, we see the scene from Sara's video camera she holds. She shakily brings the camera to the door and there's blood on it. She opens the door and there's blood on the walls and a trail on the ground. Up ahead, we see a dark figure moving and screaming. Then it stops and turns around. Then it starts coming towards Sara. Sara says 'God no' and runs into her room. Then the camera turns off. It's so scary. In the end, she somehow has surgery, they force her I think. Someone calls the cops and they come out of the operating theater pushing two trolley things with two bodies on them. Both people are unconscious and they've got cloths on them. A dog jumps up and pulls one down. We see Sara's face but Jonathon heat's wearing it. It then says "Who owns Sara's face now?" But in the end, she somehow ends up getting her face back.
SCARED SHITLESS I SAY.
