He swiped the card and waited for five seconds before punching in the code to unlock the house. The whole process took about five minutes before the door swung open. He looked around carefully before walking in, the door closing automatically behind him. The lights were automated and turned on as soon as he walked through the door. He looked around carefully before he put the briefcase on a chair by the door. Matt walked into the kitchen and quickly poured himself a glass of water. He grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. Nobody actually knew what Matt did when he got home but he sighed as he realized that nothing good was on the news. He switched to the music channel and he smiled as one of the good bands came on. It was Avenged Sevenfold and if it wasn’t so late at night I would have cranked the TV up. Matt couldn’t help but feel uneasy though as the night progressed. He was glad it was the weekend; therefore he wouldn’t have to go to work until Monday. Hell he’d probably call in sick for a week, just to stay away from her. There you go again Matt…Still thinking of ways to get away from her? “Shut up.” Hey I remained quiet while we were in the car but no longer. I won’t be ignored Matt. “Yes you will. I don’t want to talk to you, nor hear you, so leave me alone!” No. Even if I wanted to, I can’t. Sorry Matt, but you’re stuck with me! “No….I don’t have to deal with this….I can get you out of there! Oh really? How? “Damn you. I have my ways.” He growled as he looked around. You have ways? Tell me then. I want to know. “No.” Why not? Matt didn’t respond and a form materialized at the table. When he turned around he nearly cried out in surprise. “Who the hell are you?” The person you refuse to listen to. The person replied and Matt realized the thing was about seventeen years old and looked much like a punk. “Can’t be.” Why not? The voice demanded and Matt quickly placed it as a male. “Because that was in my head. Me and my conscious.” Oh really? Come off it Matt. You’re going to make me laugh. “Fine then. I was talking to you…wait…how did you know my name? Simple really. I became who I was because of that woman that entered your office…I am amazed you didn’t fall under her spell. “If that is true…then shouldn’t I know your name?” You should know it yes. I am Kris, and somewhat of a personal guide. “Like spiritual?” Something like that. Only you can see me, unless I become something more then just spirit energy. “Something more?” Yeah something like that. Only problem is…you don’t want that, and to be frank, I like being a spirit being. I don’t want to be seen. Matt burst out laughing. This whole thing seemed fairly ridiculous. Kris seemed to take it astride and he investigated his nails. He finally quieted down and he looked at him. “So if I willed it…you could become…”
