Sam had finally got away. She was so tired and so scared. She feared for her life. Hunters were after her. They had already gotten to her family. All of her family was brutally murdered right in front of her and she didn't know what to do.She refused to cry. She had to save her strength. The hunters would be catching up again soon. It was dark out so she decided to go in to town. It would be a little harder for the hunters to find her.

She knew how to use a sword and she would be a great captain some day at least thats what she hoped. No one wanted a girl on their ship. Most people thought that girls werent capable of doing everything that boys were.

Emily was suppose to be going to her fathers funeral today. It was to hard for her. She told her mother that she would meet her there but just couldn't do it. She was very close to her father. They did everything together. It was beginning to get dark outside. She should have been home a long time ago. But something about didn't feel right with out her father. So she walked around town for a long time. She had finally decided to go home so she wouldn't worry her mother. She took a short cut through an alley.

She walked in the front door expecting to get yelled at for being late. But the main room was empty. So she walked around the castle looking for the king and queen to apologize for being late. She hoped she would avoid seeing the prince. She like many other girls had a huge crush on him.

She couldn't understand why anyone would kill people just because they weren't like them. She vowed to kill the family of the ones who killed her family.
