The young girl hid behind her twin sister. "Please Mom, I-I'm sorry..." she said, covering her head to avoid whatever was going to be thrown at her.. "P-please.." Karime whispered.
The woman growled, and looked at the older twin. "Move, Roza."
Quietly, Roza moved to the side. As much as she wanted to protect her sister, if she angered her mother, Kina, they'd both be harmed. She always felt awful about it....
One day... Roza thought. I'll run away with Karime, we'll run to live with Tsu-kun, and he'll protect us from our mother.
Tsubaki was Roza's lover, he was protective, and he knew about their problems. But Kina absolutely hated the boy, and threw things at him when he came near the house.
Karime whimpered as the glass broke above her head, sending shards shattering around her like stars. She wished someone would save her... Daddy, Tsu-kun, Rose-chan, anyone...
Daddy. Whoever he was, wherever he was. He was obviously a jerk who didnt give a damn about his kids or his wife. He left her when he found out she was pregnant.
Roza started crying. Her own sister, her own flesh and blood, her dear twin, was gonna be hurt if she didnt do anything. She ran out of the house. Down the street. To the familiar place she loved. The screams of her sister followed her all the way. "TSU! TSU-KUN! TSUBAKI PLEASE!!" Roza screamed. This was going to be the day. The day she left it all, the day she went away with her sister.
The young man hopped out of the tree by the house, and ran over to Roza. He'd never seen her scream before... He hugged her tight. "What's wrong? What can I do to help?" he asked, flexing his claws. He had been training with them for a long time, and he could fight back now. Finally.
Roza cried into his fur. "She's gonna kill my sister if I don't hurry, she started yelling and got that look and she threww the glass vases at her... I ran away and I can still hear her screaming, you have to help me get Kari and run. We're gonna get out of here finally, we're gonna live together and have our dreams come true." she said quickly, dragging Tsubaki back towards her house, tears still rolling down her cheeks.
Karime was still screaming and crying when Tsubaki and Roza came back.
Kina was screaming at Karime. "You! You're worthless, you don't deserve to live in this house!" she was saying.
Roza tackled Kina, pushing her over and onto the glass. "Leave her alone, Mother!" she growled. "Kari, Tsu! Run away, I'll catch up with you in a little bit!"
Tsubaki helped Karime up. "Come on, let's hurry." he said, and dragged her out of the house.
Roza scratched her mother's eyes with a piece of glass that was on the floor. "You stupid witch, you ruined our lives!" she whimpered. She stood up as her mother screamed.
Kina grabbed at the bottom of Roza's dress and tore it. "The DEVIL! You're HIS SPAWN!! You're not royalty! You're a devil in an angel's skin!" she hissed and writhed and screamed.
Roza picked up some money off the table. "Good.. bye." she whispered and ran out of the house to Tsubaki and Karime. "Let's... Let's go... far far away, where she can't ever get us..."
Karime nodded, and Tsubaki just placed his arm around Roza and looked at her torn clothing, understanding. "Let's go... we can make a better life somewhere else."
The three walked, teenagers with no where to go, into the glistening moonlight. "It's over." the wind seemed to whisper.
