Prologue
There I sat in the dark of the park, listening to the waves of the near by ocean. I couldn't remember why I went there but I remember I had been crying and I ran away, far away. I don't remember where I'd been or why I had been crying, but I knew I was safe here. It was familiar to me. My name is Tameya. I have midnight black, mid-back length, hair, and icy blue eyes. I'm look 15 but I know I'm not but I don't remember much about myself.
"Tam?" A musical voice calls out from behind me. I turn slowly to see a boy about my age, I think. He had green spiky hair, and green eyes that reminded my of new grass in the summer. "Tammy?" He asked again coming closer.
I looked at him curiously before asking, "Who are you?" This seemed to shock him.
"Tam, its me, Jake. Don't you remember?" He asked looking worried as he sat down beside me on the swings.
"Jake...." I whispered then I remembered. It came as soon as I said his name. I had been at a party, a bad party. There was evil everywhere, it had really started hurting my head so I had left to go for a walk. I began to cry as I remember more and more. As I had neared this park a man, I don't know who had attacked me.
"Tam! Whats wrong?" Jake asked pulling me onto his lap hugging me tightly. "Please don't cry, Tam." He whispered gently.
"A man..attacked me...." I whispered gently. "I remember everything from the party till know. The man, when he attacked me, spoke something I couldn't understand and then I was on the swings wondering what happened." I said a little louder then a whisper and held onto Jake, scared for my life.
Ch.1
Now as I look back on that day, I realized if I had brought my cross necklace and dagger with me I could have probably avoided forgetting everything. Now I never take my necklace off and I always have a weapon with me, even if I've been told not too.
"Tam tam!" Mia's soft voice rang out from the other side of the room. "Wake up lazy head!" She said laughing softly.
I groaned and rolled over not wanting to get up. "What Mia?" I managed to say before coughing.
"One hour till classes!" She shouted at me and pulled the covers off me, exposing my sponge bob pj's, she laughed at them.
"Fine fine!" I groaned and got up and stumbled to the bathroom to start a shower. As I started washing my hair I started thinking again. As I thought I imagined a beautiful castle with flowers and tree's everywhere. There were fairies, goblins, humans, everything a little girl could think of there. All living peacefully.
"Hurry your a** up Tam!" Mia said banging on the door interrupting my thoughts.
"Coming coming!" I shouted back hurrying out of the shower, using magic to dry my hair as I quickly put on my black jeans, combat boots, neon green t-shirt and studded rainbow belt before leaving the bathroom.
"Much better! But no magic next time." She said and we both started laughing on floor.
We go to a school for "special" kids. Translation, kids with powers or look different then everyone else.
"I'll use no magic, when you do." I managed to say between laughs. Everyone at this school had magic. Different kinds of sorts. We can all do basic stuff like move objects and dry our hair. Simple things.
"Ahahaha, okey deal." She said as we got up grabbing our book bag's heading out of our dorm.
"Jake get your a** up!" We both shout at his door down the hall and heard a loud thump, assuming he fell asleep on the couch after getting ready, we laughed.
Jake opened the door and glared at us. "Don't do that again." He said rubbing his head. He was dressed in torn blue jeans, white shirt, and sneakers.
"Damn classes start to early." I managed to say threw a yawn, tripping over a stair. "Ow...And told you I could fall upstairs."
"Okey, I believe you. You okey though Tam?" Jake asked helping me up and I nodded while we walked.
"Wow Tam, be more careful!" Mia said laughing and we both stuck our tongues out at each other.
"You kids better hurry to breakfast before a fight starts." Another kid said walking away from out dinning area.
"Great just what we needed first thing in the morning." Jake mumbled with a groan and stepped into the dinning hall and shouted. "Listen up! Anyone starts a fight and they deal with us!" And with that the room started to spin and the next thing I know is I'm on the floor with everyone else around me starring.
