She and I lay there
Looking up at the stars
I turn my head to look at her
The moon’s reflected light
Makes her features more soft
Even more beautiful then I would have ever imagined
She smiles as a star flies by
She then turns to me
“I wished that you would kiss me”
She whispers.
I stare into her eyes
And slowly lean in
My lips graze hers
And my eyelids flutter shut
She grips my hand
Bringing her lips to my ear
“I love you”
She says.
I open my eyes and smile
Together we turn back
And look at the stars
