((I played World of Warcraft today, and I thought it'd be cool to log who I helped and what I felt! As always, comment please! ^^)) Ty's Log
Dear Journal,
Today was a nice day. I accepted two, no three, quests from different dwarves. One dwarf, Wilder Thistlenettle, wanted me to go to a mine that had collapsed while he, his brother, and other dwarves had been mining. He told me that he wanted 4 miner seals and the badge from his brother's body, if he died. The mine had been under a barn in Moonbrook, Westfall, an apparently there were thieves. I knew exactly where it was, so I set off.
On my way to the Deadmines as they are called, I found another dwarf by a tent. He was one of the Thunderbrew clan, known for their ale and rivalry with the Barleybrews. He wanted me to get some hops for a batch of his Thunderbrew Lager, I'd get a free keg from it. I accepted, then continued my way to Moonbrook.
I got under the barn through some stairs and fought through Defias workers and magicians in some of the mines. On my way, I found a human warlock with his voidwalker companion, just like I have my faithful wolf. He asked if I could help him, he needed to get VanCleef's head for a quest. I said sure, and that I was on two quests of my own. So, I lead him through the mines filled with miners and goblins, with the odd ogre foreman as well. I fired the cannon on the doors to the ship cave, and there as we were starting to board the ship, Mr. Smite, an enormous black tauren, came after us. Though we got stunned once and set upon by bandits from the shadows, I killed Mr. Smite and we went up to the top of the ship. I killed the goblin admiral, and went after VanCleef with my loyal companion while the warlock I was helping stood back, he was too weak.
His name was Darkforces, and he thanked me by saying that he could not emphasize it enough and that he'd been trying for so long to get his head. I kept saying it was okay, and that getting someone to help you in an old instance was hard since most people were doing newer ones. We left out of the back entrance of the mines and were in time to see the moon begin to rise. I told him to drop me a line whenever he needed help, and he said that he'd make me his friend, and I did the same. After he saluted and I bowed, we parted ways. I shortly remembered that I hadn't completed my quests. I went back in to complete them.
I found the miners in a secluded part, though they were but undead then. I acquired 4 sealed letters and found the dwarf's brother, ..... and got his badge after I put him to rest. It was tough, but someone has to do it. I turned around to see a young dwarf hunter with his raptor pet staring at me. I waved and began to leave until he spoke. I have recorded the conversation here:
Bobbylu: wtf Me: What? I'm doing some quests. Bobbylu: ur !@#$in 80 fuc off. go kill the fucin lich king Me: So? Some people like to enjoy the game. And that includes old areas and instances as well. Bobbylu: not when u keep fucin stellin low lvls quests Me: Quests are for everyone. Just wait for them to respawn. Besides, the 26 warlock I just ran through here under 15 minutes didn't seem to mind a bit. You have fun doing this by yourself, and maybe one day, you'll be worthy enough to die by the Lich King's hand yourself. Bobbylu: if i ever make it to eighty im gunna kill myself Me: That's not too far away if you try. Have fun!
So, I left him staring after me angrily, satisfied with myself. I found some hops on some harvest golems, and returned to the Thunderbrew dwarf, who gave me the keg of Thunderbrew Lager along with a riddle. I went back to Stormwind and to the dwarf I first met. He was sad about his brother's and the miner's fates, but he was glad that I had put them to rest. He offered a reward, but I declined only to have the gold thrust at me meaningfully. I took it and bowed, then used a portal by a mage to go back to Dalaran, the city of mages.
I'm in A Hero's Welcome, an inn, right now as I write this, my loyal wolf asleep on the bed at my feet and Dalaran's magical lights coming in through the open arcwy to the second level balcony. I feel glad that I helped those dwarves and that human, and taught that other dwarf a lesson! I popped the cork on the keg about an hour ago, and though I'm not all that drunk, I'm tired now. I'll try to write more of my adventures in Azeroth and maybe the Outland sometimes. For now, I say goodbye! *...hic!*
