We met by chance, exchanged few words. Days passed, soon came weeks. I stumbled upon your name, thinking, 'perhaps another ......how dull.' How wrong was I. A simple knock was heard. Be it by curiosity, or perhaps rare kindness, I let you in. Upon further inspection, I was met with such innocence. A sweet girl, and yet, she held such knowledge of the harsh cruel world. I was intrigued. We met by chance, exchanged our stories. Weeks passed, soon came months. You told me of harsh people who dared to hurt you. A lone tear escaped those eyes, the eyes of such a sweet girl. Anger soon came, such bitter people who'd let this occur. I soon found myself wanting to protect, but why? Realization soon hit... We met by chance, I gave you my trust. Such a sweet girl, still growing, still experiencing. I promised myself I'd watch out for you. Perhaps as a brother would to a dear sister. We met by chance, I give you my friendship, my encouragement, my word. ~Jester of Hope.
