We’ve been practically avoiding each other
As if we believe the other has syphilis
And sexual dieses can now be spread by words
Talking to me
Won’t hurt you
Talking to me
Won’t ruin your life
Because I’m not dangerous
The only things I purposefully do are care and forgive
So why do you always insist on leaving
On stopping this river of love I’m sending to you
It’s not like my ocean belongs to you
It’s not like I’ve given my heart to you
I just wanted to be your friend
I wanted to care about you when you needed caring
I wanted to be there for you
When you needed someone by your side
I wanted to tell you I love you
When no one else would
But you ruined all that
Hurtful words can destroy
Especially when the person their directed at only has one other
But now you want back in?
I don’t get it
Why would we play hide-and-seek
Just so you can run away and hide
And come out before I even find you
That’s not how the game works
I have to seek before I find
You hid hard
I gave up
I finally got myself to stop looking
I finally got myself to lose interest in finding you
But I’ll admit
There still was a little curiosity
I still wanted to know where you were hiding
But now that you came out of your spot
I want you back in
You can’t pull me back into the friendship that we once had
You can’t tell me you care
Because I won’t believe you anymore
I can’t believe you
If it took you this long to realize that you were losing me
It’ll take you even longer to realize it’ll never be the same
