Top ten Greatest RPG's I have ever played
Number Ten Shining Force 2 for the sega master System AKA Sega Genisis.
This game was literally the reason to why I can read today. This game is a tactics style game meaninging there is a stratagy involved when playi it. Now let me tell you I was ******** 5 years old when I was playing this tearing it up. This game was hard... but lucky for me it included the early version of a save state.
Number Nine. EarthBound for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
What can I say about this epic masterpeice of a game that hasn't already been said. Ok I rented this game in a video store when I was about 9 years old and I loved it. My only regret is never getting one for myself. I never beat this game and i only played it so far but i loved it and i was glad to see Nes again when i plugged in Super Smash bros for Nintendo 64.
Number Eight. Tales of Destiny 2 for Sony Playstation.
To be honest I will say this. I don't remember much about this game. I found it better then the first game...which I didnt get. I will say this game introduced the Animated Cutscene to me and voice acting in a video game. It drew me in.
Number Seven Super Mario RPG For the Super Nintendo Entertainment System
I will state I never beat this game. but I rememeber playing this back in 1995 and I loved it. mario in a RPG you didnt think it would happen but my ******** god this is just awesome. the characters are actually interesting and you got to see Mario and Bowser team up for the very first time. I never got to the end of this game because I was a kid at the time. Though there is a reference to the power rangers called the Axem rangers lol
Number Six Dragon Ball Z Attack of the Saiyans for Nintendo Dual Screen
This game was actually a surprise when I played it. Like most games that are DB or DBZ i was expecting a shitty fighter somewhere built in. Instead what you get is a awesome Turn based system and a story the covers the very tail end of the DB saga and the first Saga in DBZ up to the fight with Vegita. Let me just tell you I can't wait for a sequal.
Number Five Pokemon for Gameboy, Game boy Advance, and Nintendo Dual Screen and Final Fantasy for Multipule systems
is a tie only for the reason I can fill en entire countdown with both of these games. Pokemon is a great Turn based RPG even though it is geared for little children I have been playing it since I was in middle school. And Final fantasy save for.....certian titles 11 13 and 14 the rest have all been great games. If you want to know my personal favorites out of the series I like Pokemon Crystal, Emerald and platinum for pokemon. Final Fantasy 1, 6, 7, 8,9, and tactics for Final fantasy. Tactics is extremely difficult to master but the story makes it so worth it. Also ******** ******** that game...
Number Four Lunar the Silver Star story, and Lunar 2 Eternal Blue the remakes for Sony playstation
I rented this game in 1998 by chance at a defunc Video story called Home Video Express. And it blew my mind. FMV cutscenes voice acting in a video game and the music oh god the music it was just bad a**. The games actually make sense to. though they are hard as ********.
Number three Digimon World 3 for the Sony Playstation
I am going to say this right now. I ******** hate digimon. I really do my friend utterly ruined this entire franchise. BUT this game is awesome. you get to pick a team of digimon and unlike the previous games you actually get to level up like a real RPG the story was epic the leveling up was nice the turn based is bad a**.
Number two Super Robot Taisen/wars for multipule systems
Ok....Im going to say this now there are only a few Super Robot wars games that are in english and only a slim few of the japanese ones are fan translated. but they are all epic. These games make me want to learn japanese so i can play them....here is a run down...every ******** giant robot anime combined.... the ones that are in english are custom robots custom characters made for banipresto.
Number One Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross For the SNES/PS/DS and Sony Play station
I first played Chrono Trigger when I was a kid. It came out for the SNES back in 1995 It's 2011 and this game still kicks a**. I have played this game so much I am a walking talking stratagy guide for this thing. about a few years later I was reading a game magazine and I saw a thing for Chrono cross a sequal to Trigger. And by god I wanted to play. It would be a year or two later before I finally got to play it and my god i was so happy. Multiple characters epic endings the graphics at the time were amazing and yeah just ******** awesome Let me just state any game that has an epic sound track as these two games...means I love it.
There you have it my Top ten greatest RPG's that I have ever played. Don't agree with me THEN LEAVE A COMMENT. Agree with me? LEAVE A COMMENT.... dont care? LEAVE A DAMN COMMENT... let me know what you people think should I continue doing these top tens or what?
