April 22 is Earth Day, a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's natural environment. Remember Earth Hour and the lesson that we learned from it? That a solution to the world’s environmental challenges is possible if we work on them together and that together our actions all add up. Well, this year it marks the 41st anniversary of Earth Day and the best part about celebrating this day is that there are many ways to honor the planet. Many do so by pledging an act of green on this day by doing something positive. For example; plant a tree, brush your teeth without running waster, carpool, commit to recycling in your home, eat more locally grown food, start a garden, bring reusable shopping bags to the grocery store, use green cleaning products, join up a bleach clean ups in your area, go to a festival and other Earth friendly gatherings going on across the country. Or even flight deforestation by donating a dollar or two to the Canopy Project in which they plant a tree at a minimum donation of $10.
