Ok It's time for another of my TOP TEN FAVORITE countdowns. Today's subject
THE BEST FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS!!!!!!!!!
Before we get onto the countdown I want to say these are games that I have played. If I havent played them they wont be on the list so please quit complaining.
Honorable mentions
Bulletstorm. I played the demo of this game. The voice work amazing it reminds me of a game that will be featured in the coutndown.
NUMBER 10
Wolfenstien 3d
This game is considered the God father of all FPS games. This game was first introduce to gamers on MS-DOS in May 5, 1992. I was introduce to this game via it's Port to the SNES sometime in 1995 or 96. Your a captured ww2 soldier in Hitlers castle and you have to break free before you are killed or worse. The game would have what are considered several sequals including a game called Return to Castle Wolfenstien but this will forever remain the best in the series.
Number 9
The Medal of Honor Series.
First released on the Playstation In novemeber of 1999. This FPS introduced one of the best World War 2 shooters on the market. Why was the game so good the story was created by Steven Spielberg. It would also have vocalized enemies and companions as well as historical movies while listening to your mission brief. I am happy to say I own an Original Copy of the First game and its still one of my favorites.
Number 8
Halo Combat Evolved
Produced by Home state Company Bungie and created a massive francise that spawned several insane and retarded fans. Released Novemeber 15th 2001 for the Xbox as a launch title and then ported to the PC in 2003 This game Reintroduced something important that we hadnt seen in a FPS in a long time A GOOD FREAKING STORY!!!!!! yes thats right this game had an addicting story and INSANE hard mode and bad excuse my laungage ******** a** soundtrack. When I was repeatedly dying on legendary mode I was chilling out and listening to the tunes. Sadly I have not played 2-reach but I intend to as soon as I can since I am a story buff. My only disconcern is....Halo fans can be stupid sometimes....HALO IS NOT THE GREATEST THING OUT THERE PEOPLE!!!!.....learn your FPS history...
Number 7
Day of Defeat 1.5/ Day of Defeat source.
Another World war 2 shooter game this time exclusively for PC this is one of my personal favorite games or well was. I am more a fan of 1.5 then I am of source Due to the weapon layouts.
DoD began as a Half-Life 3rd party mod in 2000. Later, the DoD team joined Valve Software and produced a standalone version published through Activision. DoD (ver.1.0) was officially released in May 2003. It was converted over to the Steam delivery system in version 1.1. Steam is now required to play DoD. Day of Defeat: Source was released on September 26, 2005.
This is the first game I ever got banned from online due to my ability to kill people with the at the time prototype Rocket launcher. I was banned from over 12 servers.
Number 6
Left 4 Dead 1 and 2
Left 4 Dead was released in November 2008. The first game's developed was started by Turtle Rock Studios, who were bought by Valve during the game's creation, with continued developed occurring at Valve's studios. Left 4 Dead 2 was released a year later in November 2009. Set in the days after a pandemic outbreak of a viral strain transforming the majority of the population into zombie-like feral creatures, the games follow the adventures of four survivors attempting to reach safe houses and military rescue while fending off the attacking hordes.
Well here we go folks this is what I love FPS Zombies and hilarious voice work. Playing these games is like just introducing fun to your boring sad lives. This game can be played alone or you can bring three friends if you have that many to play with you. Me personally I dont have that many near by but I like to think I have a solid rough 5 or 6 frieds to choose from.
Number 5
Swat 4 and Swat 4 The Stetchkov Syndicate
a tactical first-person shooter computer game developed by Irrational Games and published by Vivendi Universal Games on April 5, 2005. . In SWAT 4, the player leads a SWAT tactical element in resolving various situations, such as hostage standoffs or apprehensions of dangerous subjects. An expansion to SWAT 4, entitled SWAT 4: The Stetchkov Syndicate, was released on February 28, 2006. With the closing of Sierra, this was the last of the SWAT series of games.
First I want to thank Internet Celeb the SPOONYONE and his let's plays for introducing the game to me I bought this after watching a few of them This game is hard... you can't kill anyone if you want a perfect score you can't shoot first and you need to collect evidence. Albeit the first game didnt have a story it was interesting from mission to mission the Expansion Introduced two Fun things a story and a Grenade launcher....lol
Number 4
Duck Hunt
released in 1984 in Japan. The ducks appear one or two at a time, and the player is given three shots to shoot them down.
Literally a FPS you hold the gun and you must shoot those dasterdly ducks before they get away. and if your realy up for evil you must face off against the clay things
This is the game that introduced you to FPS if you were born in the 80's you were given a grey gun or in some cases a bright orange gun told to point it at the ducks on your tv and press the trigger.
Number 3
Counter Strike 1.5 and Counter Strike Source
Counter-Strike (shortened sometimes to CS) is a tactical first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Corporation which originated from a Half-Life modification by Minh "Gooseman" Le and Jess "Cliffe" Cliffe. The game has been expanded into a series since its original release, which currently includes Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike: Anthology and Counter-Strike on Xbox. Counter-Strike pits a team of counter-terrorists against a team of terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won by either completing the mission objective or eliminating the opposing force.
This is one of the best FPS's online to play to date I play it today It's a mod that it's self has several mods including Zombie which I love and Prison break. A favorite I used to enjoy was Super Hero mod.
Number 2
DOOM
a landmark 1993 first-person shooter video game by id Software. It is widely recognized for having popularized the first person shooter genre, pioneering immersive 3D graphics, networked multiplayer gaming, and support for customized additions and modifications via packaged files in a data archive known as "WADs". Its graphic and interactive violenceas well as its Satanic imagery, also made it the subject of considerable controversy. In Doom, players assume the role of a space marine who must fight his way through a military base on Mars' moon, Phobos, that has been overrun with demons from Hell.
ok this game was awesome. its still awesome it will forever be awesome. This game is what put FPS games on the map. to all you halo fans I will say this again DOOM PUT FPS on the map.... Awesome music excellent story and plus your fighting against hell come on thats just awesome.

A game that was exciting only to be further entertaining by adding Voice clips from Duke everytime you found something interesting just served to keep you hooked. Duke spawned several sequals including the game that has been in devolepment for 12 years Duke Nukem Forever. You can bet I am preordering it Long live the king baby.
