I was watching Ghost Hunters, a show about paranormal investigators who are known as TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) and they have a new member to the team. I was pleasantly surprise to see that it was a dog. She was rescued last year by TAPS lead investigator and dog handler Jason Hawes, Maddie is a year-old German Shepherd/Australian cattle dog with a nose for the paranormal. She's absolutely adorable and it's such a great idea to have her a part of the team.
“She’s basically an untainted investigator,” says TAPS member Grant Wilson. “She’s not bringing in any predispositions, she hasn’t made any judgments ahead of time, whether this place is haunted or not. You can’t get more honest than a dog.” After all, I firmly believe that animals can sense things that humans cannot, whether it’s because of their heightened senses or their canine intuition. So it's not a surprise to know that animals may have a sixth sense about things like that.
Nearly every haunting stories I've heard, those with pets seem to have animals that can sense something that their owners do not. So maybe people should get pets? They are great companions to come home to, to love and to protect you – even against the paranormal since they can sense whether or not the apartment or house you're moving to is haunted.
