You know what’s really annoying?
When you really have to go to the bathroom, whatever convenience store or fast food restaurants you go to (because it’s the closest option), they always, always have their bathroom doors’ locked. It’s understandable why they do that (to keep it them from being trashed, keep homeless people from living in it, from sexual activities/rapes) but it becomes a hassle when the employees are busy or you can’t find one that’s available (or the person that’s in charge of the key to the bathroom) and you’re force to wait.
When you got to go it’s so hard to hold on. It’s worst when you have a kid that NEEDS to go and you have to wait for someone to open the door. It’s embarrassing for the parent, especially for the child that couldn’t hold it in longer and peed themselves. It’s a mess that the parents need to deal with and another mess for the employees to clean too.
What I suggest is that maybe they should have a time limit than. Such as keep the door open for a certain time and then close it to the public (have a sign put up that says for paying customers only). If non paying customers need to use it then they could ask (but their needs a sign that says so). But it really depends on where the bathrooms are located. If it’s in the front where the cashiers are then it’s less likely for something to happen when it’s in view. But in the back of the store I can get why there needs to be watched more closely.
When I was younger I needed to go to the bathroom but the door was locked. I felt embarrassed needing to ask “permission” to go…only because I’m not a social person and didn’t want to deal with people.
So yeah, to keep the need to use the bathroom I make sure to not drink anything when I’m on the go. That way it limits my need to go to the bathroom when I’m in a long car ride or whatnot.
