The Adventurer's Guide
Tales of battle, history, love, and the Sal Rehk Captain's Log A personal fictional tale of how my days really should be xD
Time for two Poems
To start, I don’t always write poems, but when I do, I choose free form. (Yes, I made that joke)
Also, an observation, has anyone looked at the word poetry, and noticed that the last name of the poetry master is in the word itself, Edgar Alan Poe, has his name in the word which he got famous from, and it was not named after him. It is as if from birth he was destined to do such beauteous work with words. Another fun fact about Poe, he married his cousin who was half his age. He is a creeper.
And now for two poems, one I had to right for English class, entitled A Result, the second is spur of the moment writing.

A Result
By Jared Thorpe

First the colors-
Dark blood red.
Then the humans-
Screaming gone dead.
I have no regrets,
I have no remorse,
For the people who died,
For the soul of this corpse.
I am a result.
Nothing more.
I am a result.
Down to the core.
I am a result.
Of the humans I reap.
I am a result.
And their souls I shall keep.

Fragments
By Jared Thorpe

Here he lies, cold, shaken,
What will happen?
His last breath taken?
A memory to become?
Or a soldier to survive?
The machines start to hum.
His heart beats no more.
The fragments of his memory.
My mind so sore.
The fragments of his skull,
Lying in Iraq.
