The finale of The Walking Dead is running tonight, actually right now but I'll be watching it later. I've read a...well, not a "good bit" as in "plenty of" the comic since there's a ton of issues out, but enough so that I know what's happened by the time the group gets to Hershel's farm. The TV show is different from the comics, of course, and I have fun piecing together where certain scenes go and the relationships between each character. Oh, and what happens on a near day to day basis that influences the entire mood of everything.
To me, the comic version of Andrea is much better than the TV show version, and that goes for Carol as well. But Lori still annoys me many times, maybe less in the comics.
The Lori in the show has gotten better, in my opinion. A little more likeable, but before she was a total annoyance. She was always mean to poor Shane and then as soon as she actually apologizes to him, like she should have ages ago, it tips him the wrong way. Completely the wrong way. Because once he'd already murdered another survivor and been put down by so many of the group for having changed his entire being, there was a good chance that the he'd set his sights on the one man that had changed their way of living, although they were best friends.
If she had told him everything at the CDC center, or better yet, when Rick had just come back, then maybe things would have turned out differently. He could have set his sights on another love interest, maybe, or at least understood what Lori herself had to go through as well. But no, she had to realize what she'd done wrong too late and Shane flipped.
I hate her. =
