When it comes to video games reviews, they should be reliable and unbiased. Nothing is more annoying when you’re looking for a new game to purchase, and you come across those reviews that are bias because they either love it or hate it.
I want an balance review, one that honesty tells me what I might become annoyed about it but also what I might enjoy from it. At the same time, the review should touch upon key elements of the video game, such as the genre, story, gameplay, graphics, sound, and controls. Basically, a review that covers each aspect of the video game and tells the pros and cons about them. In doing so, it would help me and everyone else determine if it’s worth getting it or not.
I get that everyone has their own opinions on what games they like and dislike, but that’s no excuse to take a side when your job is to inform the customers, the (whether they are newbie, casual, hardcore whatever kind of) gamers about a game — no matter if it’s new or old.
I’m not going to point any fingers at which sites give out terribly bias reviews. But keep in mind that if a site chooses to continue giving out those kinds of reviews, their reputation will start to lose it’s credibility. The more it goes on then the more it becomes tarnish with negativity as well.
