I don't really have any rivals or "enemies". But I do have people whom I dislike to a certain degree. It might be due to some of their opinions, or even a tone in their voice.
There is one such person who has been on my mind of late. Said person does not seem to be serious too often, and only when I make a specific comment on a similar event, it is received with a kind of superior hostility. As if my own experience pales in comparison to their own.
Interests of my own that they share have begun to lose their luster, as well. Mainly because they take their love for them too far, I think, and overplay it. By that, I mean they almost constantly go on and on about a particular thing, make references, and find ways to integrate an interest into their daily lives. They quote it, or become interested in something else that only relates to their previous interest by a name.
I think a main reason for my dislike, is their hypocritical nature and the seeming of their replacing me in the sight of another. I've admitted to my folly, but that sight continues to shift away. So much so, that the person whom I've started to dislike is defended by the other. Going on, this person is a hypocrite. I'm not sure how describe anything more than the fact that they state that there are few people that they dislike yet in actuality they dislike a large number of people, specifically those that encroach on their "territory" only given through privilege. Yet this person only speaks harshly and in a "down-from-above" manner rather than actually going and doing something about it.
