There are some things that I notice in RE6 that I don’t like. Such as the fact that you can’t shoot, stomp or kick the zombies that are playing dead. It’s the smart thing to do and realistically what a survivor (especially one as experience as Leon) would do. Really, it’s common sense to not assume that zombies on the ground are already taken care of. Seriously, if games like Dead Space do horror so well and actually allow players to do that then why didn’t Capcom?
It’s hard to be surprise when you can tell that some of the “dead” will attack you when you get into position.
Oh, and what the hell is up with the train in the tunnel? It was on the right side of the tracks while the character I control, Leon was on the far left. Leon was no where near the oncoming train. I saw it pass him by and yet it still kills him?
What?
Another thing is that it would be helpful if the enemies had a health bar or something. It tends to be frustrating when you can’t tell or know how you’re having any impact against bosses. Here are two examples. When you’re on the bus and that big zombie is blocking the way. It took a long time of non-stop shooting at it’s face, using all (or nearly all…depending on the gamer) the ammo and whatnot to finally move onto the next part.
Then there’s the church boss. Again, pretty much using all the ammo and wondering how much it can take until it’s dead, while trying to survive because you’re very low on health. Don’t forget, it’s hard to tell which hurts it more, shooting at it’s head or stomach.
I did enjoy Leon’s campaign because it reminded me of what they use to be. Before the series became swallowed by action and Micheal Bay worthy explosions. But it’s time to let go and just enjoy for what it is now and not what it could have been or what it was before. I’m not pointing out these things because I hate it or anything, just that they could have been improved or fixed.
So far I haven’t encounter any camera angle issues in Leon’s campaign. Maybe I will with the others but so far I liked Leon’s the best.
