It’s not surprising that after a tragedy people start putting blame on something other than the shooter themselves. They always give the excuse that it’s a particular video game, music, film, tv show or book that cause the person to become a killer.
However, it’s annoys the s**t out of me that people lose absolutely all of their common sense. This is beyond stupidity. Seriously, with the Connecticut School Massacre people are mindlessly blaming the Mass Effect series for what the shooter did. That’s freaking ridiculous! IT WASN’T THE SHOOTER WHO LIKED MASS EFFECT! The media wrongly accused an innocent person for being the shooter. They reported that Ryan Lanza, the 24 year old son of a teacher at the Newtown elementary school, was the shooter.
They didn’t check their facts! It was irresponsible for them to claim a suspect without a confirmation of the identity. It wasn’t him, it was Adam Lanza, 20, who is Ryan Lanza’s brother. Because of the media wrongly accused Ryan Lanza as the shooter everyone without any sense went on his facebook and noticed that he like Mass Effect. First thing they did was get on the Mass Effect facebook page and started attacking/blaming the game. That’s it. They didn’t have any logical reason to support their “blame” of the game.
The hilarious part? Well, again the media accused the wrong guy. It wasn’t Ryan Lanza, the guy who like Mass Effect that did the shooting, it was his BROTHER. Mass Effect had NOTHING, absolutely nothing to do with the shooter. Even if it did it’s madness how people are quick to point the blame on things.
People need to realize that there are people out there who are evil. Some are sick in the head and need help while others are that way because they want to be. Playing the blame game doesn’t accomplish anything. What they should be focusing on is how to prevent this from ever happening again. How did the shooter get his hands on the guns? How did he get so far with them?
