I’m no stranger to getting and eating Kasugai Gummy, which I usually get at anime conventions. This time I got them from a small Asian market in NYC a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t gotten a chance to write a review on them and I thought it was about time that I did so, because I like them so much. It’s candy worth writing a review for!
Each heart-shaped gummy comes individually wrapped and has a very pleasant aroma to them. The grape gummy smells like grape, the strawberry smells like strawberry and the pineapple smells like itself. It’s not just their scent, but they taste exactly like each fruit. On their packaging it says that they use 100% grape, pineapple and strawberry — basically whatever the fruit gummy is suppose to be.
I don’t think I’ve ever had gummy candy that taste almost natural. So it’s no surprise that it has become my favorite gummy candy. I have yet to try the other flavors, but I hope to someday. They are — Muscat (White Grape), Apple, Kiwi, Lychee, Melon, Lemon, Watermelon and Yuzu. I think that’s all the flavors, but there might be a Ramune flavor as well.
So far I’ve only tried Peach, Strawberry, Grape and Pineapple. Those are usually the most common flavors I come across and I tend to get Strawberry the most. If you ever want to try a Japanese candy, I recommend the Kasugai Gummy.
