Description: “The Falling And Rising Saint”
Summary: She seems to be one of the major players in these Games of Gods. Not only are she and Shun “linked” in more ways than one (to the point where it would seem they’ve practically been together since before the Saints), but she is yang to Shun’s yin in astrological terms. And like Shun is the New Hades, Akaitsuki is the New Persephone.
However, like her divine counterpart, Akaitsuki would never really return to her former self after descending to the Dark World, for some of her experiences nearly shattered her psyche. Another factor supporting her being Persephone’s living double is that both Shun and herself share the same B-day (Sept. 9th), the day ghosts are born.
To top it off, her mother had once lived in Eleusis and was sometimes referred to as Demeter, the name by which she introduced herself to Akaitsuki’s late father. As of yet, no manifestation of Persephone has occurred.
There are also several factors concerning her status as Perseus Saint. Firstly, Arlen/Aeneas, the last Perseus Saint, was her father. Secondly, since the beginning of Athena’s Saints, there had been an eternal strife between the ‘descendants of Perseus and Medusa’ (the Perseus Saints and the Gorgon Specters).
However, the last battle fought between both warriors ended in tragedy with Arlen’s death, and the rape of the Medusa Shield. The Medusa Shield’s status was held to be sacred in Sanctuary, for it was the symbolic connection between Perseus and Pallas Athena. Therefore, as a personal vengeance, Akaitsuki shatters the Gorgon Sapuri completely at the same time she kills Ino.
Because she is not human, her Cosmo is very different from that of humans or other races. Not only does it grow as she grows, she has three different cosmos, which manifest in 3 different colors: chrome (regular), gold (Gold Saint, though this one did not last very long), and merged (her cosmos is merged with Persephone’s “anticosmos”).
Taken into account, any child born of her and Shun would inherit a double cosmo or cosmos from both parents (that is, [Saint+God]+[Saint+God]). If any powers normal to her kin, she has yet to find them.
One way or another, her people were familiar with the term ‘Holy Warrior’: Alpha Uma Kokuame (God Warrior), Rusalka Seimaru (Ma Sei), Perseus Arlen (Saint), who was rumored to be Perseus Incarnate. It is unknown whether Morisei was a Holy Warrior.
Eleusis –Demeter’s Holy City. Birthplace of the Eleusinian mysteries.
Explanation (Techniques)
· Gold Saint’s Techniques- Basically all the techniques taught to her by Gold Saints. While some (i.e. Scarlet Needle—Antares) are key only to a certain Saint, she is still able to use them. · Medusa Mane- It petrifies/paralyzes the opponent. It is more paralysis than petrification in a sense. However, the person’s body part that came in contact with the Chains is immobile. · Nebulae Extension- Extensions grow out of original chain. Similar to Medusa Mane. · Thunder Wave-This technique is shared with Andromeda Shun. Like the Nebula Chains, it generates a shock wave of electricity, with a stronger volt capacity of 12,000. · Rolling Defense- This technique is also shared with Andromeda Shun. · Rhus Al Ghul Gorgoneion (Demon Head Gorgon)- This move is complete petrification, and is only available with the Medusa Shield. · Perseus Storm—Perseus Fierce Storm- In this technique, Akaitsuki uses the power of the Perseus Constellation. One of the most powerful techniques. · Variation: Volsung Storm—Volsung Fierce Storm- Same as the former, only this time the power of Norse Heroic figures such as Sigmund or Sigurd is drawn and used. · Soft- Only the Perseus Saint has this. Logical, because they petrified or paralyzed the opponent in the first place.
