Oh, wow. It took a while for Supernatural’s ending to sink in and because of that some of the realizations are beginning to kick in. The first is that Sam married some random woman and I’m like what the f**k??? Where’s Eileen Leahy?
Jack bought everyone that vanished back. If Sam was gonna be with anyone I could see it with her. It would make better sense. She knows the hunter’s life, what it’s like to lose love ones and basically out of everyone she would get it. She would be the first one to reach out to him as soon as she got the news that Dean was gone. The other Hunters would’ve reach out too, like Donna, Jody, Other World Bobby, Garth, and so on.
I could see Sam and Eileen hunting together until they reach a point where they’re getting tired of it and/or old and want to start a family. And when they’re really old, maybe Sam is the first one to go. He meets up with Dean, Castiel and everyone they lost. Maybe Jack pops in to personally say hello because he wanted to wait until they were all there.
Sam doesn’t have to wait long because Eileen joins them. He’s the first one to greet her, then Dean and behind him are her parents, which Sam introduces. She finally gets to meet them because they died when she was a baby. From there…I don’t know.
I guess they could’ve ended it there. With all the fans knowing that everyone is happily together. If not, I guess Dean, Sam, and Castiel riding off in the impala exploring Heaven could work too. Eileen would’ve probably stay behind with her parents so that she could get to know them. I guess Jack would’ve joined them. Sure he said that unlike Chuck he’s not going to get involved, but he was talking about Earth. So yeah… I can see him spending time with them when he’s not off doing God things.
The same can be said about Castiel. When he’s not helping Jack with Heaven or training up the new angels he can be found with Dean (and Sam – because he spent too long without his brother that he’ll need some time to be comfortable with letting him out of his sight).
As for Dean’s death and the Castiel thing….ehhhh they could’ve handled that better. And yes, with Covid-19 I know they were limited in what they could do, but that’s no excuse for bad writing. Others shows and films are making it work by being rigorous in their Covid-19 testing and maintaining strict restrictions for everyone’s safety.
