Maturity
Here is a good example of maturity that I'm rather proud of myself for displaying.

It was during the bus ride home, all the middle school students had spread themselves out so all the front seats were taken, including my seat. I didn't want to look like an idiot, getting upset over someone taking a seat I'd only be in for 20 minutes or so, so I just took the next available seat, which happened to be near the back. As I placed my stuff down someone told me it was someone else's seat. Going by the "first come, first serve" basis that is used in seating on my bus, I told them that the person would have to sit somewhere else. I mean, it's only a 20 minute bus ride, and there's no reason to get angry over having to move to an almost exactly similar. Anyway, as the person approached the bus, a kid yelled out the window that I was in their seat. This made the person have to act tough in front of her friends, so she came up to me and said that I was in their seat with a pretty nasty tone. I calmly said that she would have to sit somewhere else. Now, this person just so happened to be an african american, so she told me that I wasn't Rosa Parks and thus didn't have to refuse to give up my seat, which made no sense to me at all. But their friend told them to just sit down, so she did. And then the "fun" began.
As I began taking out my lap top to listen to music as normal, the kids starting asking me stupid questions and accusing me of being gothic. I replied calmly and got to listening to music. Then, as the bus began moving, the kid behind me starting hitting the back of my seat as hard as he could, as well as banging on the top of it right near my head and screaming. I payed no attention to it. Then, the kids started talking meany about me, telling lies to make me look bad. Again, I just ignored them. Next, they began throwing food at me. I brushed it off my lap top and continued listening to music calmly. So then, they decided to throw pencils as hard as they could at my head. It hurt, but I still didn't do anything. My stop was the first on the ride, so I got off. As the bus started pulling out the kids started yelling out the window at me, and you know what I did? NOTHING!
Now, some people would say that I should have done something, but that would of only let those kids win. They acted the way they did just to annoy me, and all because I had sat in one of their seats. I decided not to give them the satisfaction of me getting angry over it, or paying attention to it at all, thus causing their attempts to be useless. So this just shows how stupid people can act, all because one little thing goes wrong, or because they want to show off how "tough" they are to their friends. I don't know if I speak alone, but I think what they did was really immature, and hope you all can learn a lesson from how they acted, as well as how I reacted, because adding to the flame doesn't solve anything.

That would of just added to the hate,it's best to ignore those sort of things, unless it is harmful, and it wasn't that bad. Mind you, I'd stick up for other people if they were being treated like that, but when it's done to myself it's best to pay no attention to it.
