When ones soul is tainted by the presence of hatred, disgust, and anything that could be considered not love, it creates a barrier to protect itself from further harm. This barrier is only strong enough to protect against the strongest of what has harmed it. The barriers strength is also the strength that separates ones soul from the outside world. Over time, as more harm is caused, the barrier will grow stronger and thus create a larger gap between ones soul and the souls of the world around it. The one who has cut himself off from the world sees all and is aware of all. But never can be reached by others, nor can it reach others. When ones soul is aware of something directed towards it, it becomes like an iron fortress. But when he sees that it is not meant to harm, one reaches out to embrace what has never been felt. But one cannot reach through a barrier that is meant to separate. One must remove the barrier and become exposed. It is easy to create a strong fortification but, it is harder to destroy what was meant to endure. It is hard to live in exile but it is harder to return to a world that has changed.
