• Chapter 1: Alice


    Alice sighed as she prepared to open her shop at Rush Valley. Alice was 15 years old and lived by herself at Rush Valley since she refused to move to Central with her parents a year back.
    "At least I managed to handle living by myself." thought Alice.
    A few feet from Alice's stand, the Elric brothers walked to Rush Valley.
    "Brother, why are we here again?" asked Alphonse.
    "I need Winry to take a look at my automail. My arm's a bit slower than usual." replied Edward.
    As soon as they crossed Alice's stand, Edward accidently bumped into Alice as she was working on her stand. She dropped a gem and it broke in half when it hit the ground. Angred, Alice threw a rock at Edward's head.
    "Take that jerkwad!' shouted Alice as she threw the rock at Edward.
    The rock hit Edward's head and he grew frustrated.
    "What's the big idea?!" shouted Edward.
    "What's the big idea? A gem I worked hard to find and cleaned broke in two! You're gonna pay for that!" shouted Alice.
    Edward and Alphonse regonized that loud voice. It was their friend Alice.
    "Wait, Alice?" asked Alphonse.
    "Al?" asked Alice.
    Alice sweat dropped and she laughed nervously.
    "Hehe, sorry Ed. Didn't think it was you." said Alice.
    "Yeah, it's been a while. Won't a friendly greeting be better than a rock?" asked Edward.
    "I said I was sorry. It's been a while, well years to be more accurate." replied Alice.
    She invited the Elric brothers to her house and they caught up to what happened since Alice moved away. She had a saddened look when the admitted they done Human Transmutation.
    "I feel sorry for you two." said Alice.
    "You said you used gemstone alchemy right?" asked Alphonse.
    "Uh-huh." replied Alice.
    "Could you make a Philosopher's stone?" asked Edward.
    "It's not a gem. I can't make it even if I tried. Sorry." replied Alice.
    Alice had a smile growing on her face.
    "Edward, you seem to have shrunk since we met." said Alice.
    Edward growled at Alice and tried to pounce her but Alphonse grabbed Edward and held him back.
    "Who are you calling small?!" shouted Edward.
    "Brother, we talked about this." said Alphonse.
