Chapter 1: Friends
Hello my names Hunter, I’m a fourteen year old kid. I’m about to tell you a story about an adventure I went on that changed my look on life. This story I’m about to tell you is filled with excitement, magic and monsters. You get to meet all sorts of characters, with there own unique abilities, and fighting style. But this whole story started with a video game, a video game about going to anther world. This game was called Dot. Hack. And this is how it all began.
On my fourteenth birthday my mom got me this game that allowed me to connect to the internet. As soon as I open the gift I hooked up all the connections and put on the head set. When the game began a screen popped up and said welcome to the world. Then I started to create my character, I made him with sliver hair and green eyes, I gave him the heavy blade fighting style. I had to start off on level one, but I know ways to bring up my level.
After my person was done, I had to start my adventure in this big city filled with all sorts of colors. The city was packed with so many different people. “Welcome to Yoshio City.” Said a man in a royal guard uniform, he had black hair and brown eyes.
“So are you new here?” He asked
“Yeah I just started.” I said
“Well let me bring you to the training ground.” He said
“Why?” I asked
“So we can bring up your level a bit to make sure you can survive in this world.” He said
“Ok, which way?” I said
“Just follow me.” He said. We walked past all these different stores and markets in till we reached the end of the city; we stopped at this big ten foot green gate.
“Just wait here for a minute, ok.” He said
“Why?” I asked
“So I can put in the area code.” He said
“Area code?” I asked
“Yes, so it can bring us to our destination” He said
“How?” I asked
“Just step in gate.” He said
“Ok.” I said, as soon as I step in the gate it teleported me to a new place. It wasn’t as colorful as the city though, it was just a plain desert, no sign of life.
“Why did you bring me hear?” I asked
“So we can spar with out anybody getting in our way, of course.” He said
“What? Spar with you? You’re a Royal guard I don’t stand a chance.” I said
“So?” he said
“So, you’re an “A” class fighter. Plus I don’t even know your name.” I said
“Oh, your right. Sorry my name is Killa B. I’m a twin blade.” Killa B said
“My names Hunter, nice to meet you.” I said
“Are you ready to spar, don’t worry I will go easy on you.” Killa B said, one hour later, I gained six levels, so now I’m on level seven.
“Thanks for the training.” I said
“No problem, if you want to leave just walk back through the gate.” Killa B said
“See you later.” I said, as I walked back through the gate, it brought me back to the city. I had to find a place to eat and rest, there were plenty of markets but hardly any inns to stay at. “Are you lost?” a women asked, she had light brown hair and green eyes.
“Yeah, I can’t fine any inns any ware.” I said
“Inns? This is a game you need a hide out for a place to rest here.” She said
“Aww.” I moaned
“You look like a nice kid, you can stay with me in till you find your own place.” She said
“Really, I can, thank you.” I said
“By the way my name is Jade.” She said
“My names Hunter.” I said
“Oh yeah, I have another room mate. So tell her your friends with me, ok.” Jade said, she told me the directions how to get there. As soon as got there I entered the room there was a young girl lying asleep on the couch. Jade told me her name was Roxie, she had long black hair, and I couldn’t tell her eye color since she was asleep. So I unpacked my stuff and fell asleep on the floor. The next day when I woke up, Jade and Roxie were in the kitchen eating breakfast. It smelled good.
“Can I have some?” I asked
“Sure.” Jade said
“Thanks.” I said
“Just take a set next to Roxie, she won’t mind.” said Jade
“Hi my name is Hunter.” I said to Roxie
“Whatever.” Said Roxie
“Don’t mind her, she still tired from yesterday.” Said Jade
“Oh yeah, Jade what is your fighting style?” I asked
“Fighting style?” asked Jade
“Yeah, what weapon do you use in battle?” I asked
“Sorry, I don’t use a weapon. I do hand to hand combat.” Said Jade
“Wow! Hand to hand Combat, you must be fast to fight with out a weapon.” I said
“Yep, speed is my specialty.” Said Jade
“What about you Roxie?” I asked
“Ditto.” Said Roxie
“You sure don’t talk a lot.” I said
“You should hear her when she’s all woken up.” Said Jade
“Do you know any good areas to make a hide out?” I asked
“No, not really. I just pick a random spot and started working on it.” Said Jade
“Great.” I said
“Don’t worry, you can stay here. We need more people in our group anyway.” Said Jade
“Do you want me to go look around for more team mates later?” I asked
“Sure, why not. But make sure there good people, I don’t want any thieves in my hid out.” Said Jade, after eating I left to fine more team mates for our group. But it wasn’t as easy as I thought. After an hour I finally found someone standing in front of the gate. He had brown hair and light brown eyes, he looked like a wave master, I could tell because he was holding a healing staff.
“Hey kid, what’s your name.” I asked
“It’s Smalls.” He said
“Hey Smalls, how old are you?” I asked
“Eleven.” Said Smalls
“Would you like to join our group? We need a wave master on our team.” I asked
“Ok, what do I have to do?” Asked smalls
“Get me some ramen.” I said
“That’s it?” Asked Smalls
“Yep, I got to see if I can trust you holding my money.” I said
“I think you’re just being lazy.” Said Smalls
“Yeah, your right. Hears the directions to the hide out, there will be two girls there, they will be your team mates, so try to get to know them.” I told smalls
“Thanks.” Said Smalls
“Oh Yeah, my name is Hunter.” I said
“Nice to meet you.” Said Smalls
“See you later.” I said. On my way walking back to the hide out I did a couple of stops for supplies. Just in case if we go on an adventure later. When I got to the hide out Smalls was already there. Roxie was in her room packing up her stuff, so was Jade.
“Me and Roxie are going to the Ice Village to get some rare herbs.” Said Jade
“Can I come?” I asked
“No, we need someone to watch the hid out.” Said Jade
“What about Smalls?” I asked
“He’s coming with us.” Said Jade
“Ok, how long are you going to be gone?” I asked
“Four days.” Said Jade
“Four days? Why don’t you just take the gate?” I asked
“We are taking the gate to Iceland; it’s a two day walk to get there and back from the village.” Said Jade
“Iceland, Are you nuts, that place is crawling with water and ice monsters.” I said
“If anything happens Smalls can heal us, don’t forget he’s a wave master.” Said Jade
“Yeah but, the monsters in Iceland are on levels ten through thirty, you don’t stand a chance.” I said
“Don’t worry, I’m on level seventeen, and Roxie is on level thirteen. What level are you on smalls?” asked Jade
“Level four.” Said Smalls
“See, it is to dangerous for smalls to go, one hit and its over for him.” I said
“Don’t worry, with me and Jade’s speed, they wont get near Smalls.” Said Roxie
“All of you better come back in one piece.” I said
“Don’t worry, with my magic I can heal them if they get hurt.” Said Smalls, after two hours of packing, we started walking toured the gate. When we arrived there Roxie put in the area code for Iceland.
“Good luck.” I said
“Thanks, we will need it.” Said Jade, on my way walking back to the hide out I ran into Killa B at the market. He was with a group of other royal guards.
“What’s with all the royal guards?” I asked
“There’s been three sighting of a monster in this market today, but we can’t find it.” Said Killa B
“Why would there be a monster in a market?” I asked
“I just wonder how a monster got into the city; the only way a monster could get through the gate is if someone brought it here, but why?” Killa B wondered
“I’m going in.” I said, as I walk in the market there was food every ware on the floor. As I walked around I saw a small shadowy figure near the back exit. As I slowly reached for my weapon the shadowy figure ran toured me and tackled me to the ground, and ran out the front door, past all the guards. I never have seen a monster move that quick before. Killa B came in to help me up.
“What was that?” Killa B asked
“I don’t know but it wasn’t a monster it was an animal.” I said
“What kind of animal?” Killa B asked
“I couldn’t tell it was too quick, it had to be a fox or a wolf.” I said
“How do you know that?” Killa B asked
“When it tackled me I saw its body shape, plus I have a couple strains of black fur on me.” I said
“Now what do we do?” said one of the royal guards
“We look for it.” Said Killa B
“Kid you should go back to your hide out.” Said another royal guard
“We will take care of it.” Said Killa B, I walked backed to the hide out. When I entered the room I turned on the lights, and locked the door behind me. Then I saw the shadowy figure lying on the couch. But now I could tell it was a black fox after all. I tried to reach for my weapon one more time.
“That’s not really fair.” It said
“Wait, you can talk.” I said
“My names Shadow, what do you want with me?” Said Shadow
“This is Great, You can be my pet.” I said
“I’m nobody’s pet.” Said Shadow
“Fine, Team mate.” I said
“What’s in it for me?” asked Shadow
“Free food and a place to stay.” I said
“Fine, now what about the guards?” Asked Shadow
“I don’t know, guess you have to wait in till they leave.” I said, Four days later. Roxie, Jade and Smalls returned from there trip. Jade and Roxie both brought a pet cat back from there adventure. Jade had a black cat and Roxie Had an orange cat.
“What is that?” Said Jade
“This is are new team mate.” I said
“A fox can’t be a team mate, but he can be your pet.” Said Roxie
“I’m nobodies pet.” Said Shadow
“You talk?” Said Jade and Roxie
“I think he will be a great team mate.” Said Smalls
“So what are you going to name your cats.” I asked
“I’m going to name mine Chole.” Said Jade
“I’m going to name mine Jigger.” Said Roxie
Chapter 2: New Adventure
It’s been two weeks since the last time we left the city. Every day I have been checking the bulletin to see if anything exciting happened any ware outside the city, but no luck. But the hideout filled out a lot, with four people and three pets; well two pets since Shadow don’t like being called a pet.
“Hey Hunter, I have good news.” Said Jade
“What? Did you find us a place to check out?” I asked
“No, even better.” Said Jade
“Something better.” I asked
“Yep, I found us a treasure hunter.” Said Jade
“How does that help?” I asked
“She can help us fine rare items.” Said Jade
“And rare items mean monsters.” Said Roxie
“So who is he?” I asked
“It’s not a he it is a she.” Said Jade
“Ok, what is her name?” I asked
“Her name is Nerdia.” Said Jade
“And how old is this Nerdia.” I asked
“I’m twenty-one.” Said Nerdia, she had green hair and brown eyes.
“Ok, treasure hunter, ware should we go?” I sarcastically asked
“Is he always like this?” Asked Nerdia
“No, he has just been in a bad mood lately.” Said Roxie
“Well I did find an abandon dungeon in Lupin.” Said Nerdia
“Ok, let’s go.” I said
“Wait, hold on a minute, were not well prepared for an adventure right now.” Said Jade
“So, how hard can a abandon dungeon be?” I asked
“Well it has to be abandon for a reason.” Said Smalls
“Oh come on, I’m getting tired of just sitting hear.” I said, but no one said anything.
“Fine I’ll go by myself.” I said
“Wait, we will come with you, someone has to watch your back.” Said Roxie
“I’ll stay behind and watch your pets.” Said Smalls
“What about you Shadow, do you want to come?” I asked
“Fine, I need to bite something anyway.” Said Shadow
“Great were all set, lead the way Nerdia.” I said, we all walked to the gate, as we said are goodbyes Nerdia put in the area code. As we stepped through the gate it brought us to this big open area, there was just this big old dungeon in the middle of the level. As we walked into the dungeon, it smelled like thousands of rotten dead bodies, paint was peeling off the walls for how bad the stench was.
“Man.., I never smelled anything so bad.” I said
“What is that?” Asked Jade, as she slowly pointed down the long narrow hallway. It looked like a giant badger, but covered and stained with blood. Just the sight of the creature made me want to vomit.
“This is not good.” I stuttered
“What is that thing?” asked Jade
“It’s a type of chimera.” Said Nerdia
“Now we know what it is, how do we defeat it?” I asked
“I don’t know, I never ran into this type of chimera before.” Said Nerdia
“Get out of my way!” Someone yelled out of no ware. This strange little Boy pushed his way through our group in till he was in front. He pulled out a bow and Arrow.
“I think you’ll need more than one arrow if you actually want to beat that thing.” I said.
“Don’t worry, I have perfect aim.” He said, and then he shot off his arrow. The arrow shot the chimera in the center of its head, the arrow exploded as soon as it made contact. There was blood every ware.
“I think I’m going to be sick.” I said
“Hey why don’t you join are team, we need a archer anyway?” asked Jade
“No thanks, you guys will just slow me down.” He said
“What’s that thing coming out of your arrow pack?” I asked
“Oh, that’s my grunty; His name is Fuu Fuu Cuddly Poops.” He said
“That’s a strange name for a grunty.” I said
“I named him that for a reason.” He said, we all quickly took a step back away from the grunty.
“What’s your name kid.” Asked Jade
“My name is Tsukasa.” Said Tsukasa
