Jasmin quickly searched through her drawer for her new blood red bikini that she and her mother bought the other day in light of the trip to Hawaii. She smiled brightly as she noticed little red strings spread out under her bed. Plopping down, she eagerly reached under the bed as she found the outfit. Her mind was buzzing with thoughts of coconut bras and Nick in swim trunks as she painstakingly packed her suitcase. Jasmin finished her packing and was almost to leave her room when her reflection caught her attention. Her long black hair tied back from her face curved flatteringly at her temples and her smug baby tee displayed her figure beautifully but for some reason, her amber eyes flashed with self hatred for a second before she turned to leave the room.
Downstairs, Jasmin strolled into the living room and threw herself down onto the couch with the grace of a falling tree. With a happy thud, she laid her head on the arm rest and sighed happily as she absentmindedly gaze at the TV. She wasn't really watching any of the shows, her thoughts were with Nick again as they often were now a days. Jasmin awaking up from her little nap on the couch was welcomed back to the land of the living by the scent of mouth watering dinner. With a bright smile, she jogged into the kitchen to see her mom busying herself with the cooking. "Hey Mom" She called out as she set the table. Her mother was a middle age woman with very clumsy plain features, her eyes a bit beady, her mouth a bit too wide, her nose a bit too upturned.
Her mother was beautiful in Jasmin's eyes but she knew she was the only one who could really see that. Sighing, Jasmin came up behind her mother to hug her. "I love you mom." She whispered. Caught off guard by the rare display of affection, her mother merely smiled and told her to sit down or the food will go cold.
Happily Jasmin took her seat and picked up her fork eagerly. "Bring it on!" She giggled but her mother looked at her disapprovingly. Placing only a roll and a few leaves of lettuces, Jasmin's mother said, “You have to take better care of your figure! You’re much too pretty to get fat." Sighing Jasmin forced a smile as she ate her meager meal. Her mother looked over and smiled. "The top looks so beautiful on you sweetie...." Her mom said with a sad sigh. "If only I looked like you when I was younger..." A longing ache could be seen in her mother's eyes but Jasmin ignored it as always.
"Mom, you're just as pretty I promise." Jasmin defended. Easily done with her meal, she got up ready to meet her friends at the air port. Giddy she couldn't stop a squeak as she dashed up the stairs to her room. Grabbing her suitcase, she flew back downstairs to give her mother a light kiss on the cheek and a long tight good bye hug. "I'll be back soon enough" She yelled over her shoulders as she threw the suitcase into the car, hopping in after it. Jasmin sang along with her favorite band Blue October as she sped down the road tot he airport. Her spirit was high as she gazed out her window to see the sunshine drenched streets filled with busy people going about their busy lives. Jasmin felt an odd sense of peace as she thought of Nick and the time they could spend together on the romantic shores of Hawaii. She blushed brightly but controlled it as she drove into the parking lot. With a suitcase over her shoulders, Jasmin sauntered into the airport looking for her other friends. Jasmin looked around but no matter how hard she searched, no one turned up. Frustrated but worried, she checked her watch again for the tenth time before she decided if she doesn't get in line soon she would miss the flight. Sighing, Jasmin was herded through the tiring process of watching people rummage through her panties with too much interest. After getting very close to gorging her eyes out, Jasmin finally made it to the airplane.
Seated happily by the window, Jasmin gazed out with a tired smile before a guy drops himself in the seat beside her. His black hair was rakishly long with hints of blonde highlights, his clothes decked out in pure black with metal studs, and his smile said I'm cute and I know it. His eyes were bright with interest as she turned to smile at him. The young man was somewhat handsome but compared to her Nick, he was nothing but a skinny punk but still with a practiced alluring smile, she decided he would be great for honing her skills and passing time. Expecting the usual mindless babble that poured out the mouths of the young men of our time and age, Jasmin was surprised by the gentleman she discovered she was with. Soon a genuine smile blossomed on her lips as she was truly engrossed by what her new friend had to say. They spoke of books, of politic, of silly nonsense, of anything and when they finally stopped Jasmin decided she had made a friend. After enjoying his company, all was ruined when he boldly placed a hand on her leg. Icily she picked it off and turned her back to him. Sighing she thought to herself. They’re all the same
