Lots of interesting happenings right now as far as school and life go. Let's see, where to begin...

Well, I was able to raise the gold to get Monica an Angelic Sash finally and it made her very happy indeed. The fact that her pixels look damn sexy with it is a nice bonus, for sure. She also got one of the dresses I bought for her in the mail today and the other one should be there sometime this week as well. I know she's going to love both of them since she picked them out. heart

Well, last night was Jeremy's Senior Recital and it was AMAZING, to say the least. He wrote a transcription of Karel Husa's Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Concert Band that included the percussion parts in it to make the piece closer to the original. Guess who came to here Jeremy play it?

KAREL HUSA HIMSELF!

Husa was sitting about two rows in front of me and I was freaking out that he was there to hear Jeremy. Husa happens to be one of my favourite modern writers for saxophone literature and it astounded me that he was there and so close to me...I wanted to talk to him, but I was even more terrified then when I met Jean-Marie Londeix a few months ago. To think how Jeremy had to feel playing for the man who wrote such a famous piece of saxophone literature...The really amazing thing was that, after Jeremy finished, Husa got up and gave him a standing ovation! It was remarkable!

I feel so insignificant as a saxophonist right now and so insignificant as a man for being so helpless and so mediocre. It really hits home sometimes to be witness to some extraordinary things.
