Being the practical child I was, I never had much interest in fairytales. I found it disgraceful that only with a prince charming could a young woman live happily ever after. I always thought that a happily ever after ending should be more of characters coming to terms with themselves and at the end of the day be content with their decisions, never choosing to relive anything, understanding that not everything comes out as planed and one must choose to make the best of it. I do not have a problem with fairytale endings, but presenting them, in such a way, that at the end of the day everything ends up all right is an unfair realization of life. A lesson, that everyone has learned time and time again, is that life is what you make it and sometimes the bad guy can end up just as good as the good guy, but I’m still drawn to them…because deep down, I still believe life is capable of producing a fairytale ending…but I never said perfect..I only wish I could find mine..
