Well, in nine days I'm starting school. Thankfully, Freshman get one orientation day without the scary seniors to bother us and give us bad directions. That's a really good thing, because my sis is a senior and likely to chase me and my frineds down the hallways, aided by her friend Mal, who is the only one of her friends remaining at KU. All the others have already graduated. At school, we are taking classes based on our Career Oportunities choices. For example, if you chose World Languages and Communications, you would take a foreign lauguage for your four years at KU and all the classes that come in the Communications group (theatre, possibly a language, the like). It is designed to help you get ready for the career of your choice. I'm taking Business and Communcations, because I want to go into business, or the military. I don't need a degree to go to the military, though, but in the long run it is more stable, plus it pays retirement. Anyways, here's the rundown on my summer.
June 14, 2007 The last day of school, where everybody cried and hung out around the school. Some people launched water balloons out of Mr. Glidden's giant slingshot, which was attached to the baack of his pickup. Other went to the dance, and everybody else just did whatever. Nothing really interesting, but as last days of school go it wasn't so bad.
But when I got home from school, I found out my best friend Danyell's dad died. It pretty much ruined that day.
July 5-9, 2007 I flew from Klamath Falls, OR, to Portland, OR, on a four-seat-per-row puddle jumper, which tried to make my brother's ear drums explode. It didn't bother me in the least. Wwhen we got to Portland, we got onto a 747 Boeing which took us to Denver, Colorado. It was for a spur of the moment Family reunion at my second cousin Mark's palce. He has a huge 5-story house with speedboat and pool on the shore of Oaklahoma Lake. He's bleeding rich. We came home that Monday, but our flight out of Portland was delayed. For SEVEN hours. Thankfully, I had my laptop with wireless internet, so I was happy. Sort of. We finally got on the puddle jumper and I fell asleep for about ten minutes right before we landed. It was cool to fly over Klamath.
Sometime after July 9, 2007 but before August 1, 2007 I went camping up at Topsy for a friend's birthday. That was crazy and fun, but we were all laughign hysterically when one of the girls wanted to know what an orgasm was. We tried to explain, but the only girl with us with expirience was laughignt oo much to explain, so the rest of us did our best. We went swimming and there was a big rock we could jump off of, but when Sierra wasn't willignt o jump alone, I offered to go with. I didn't have a chance to plug my nose, so water rushed in and I couldn't breath. Water rushed down my throat and I seriously couldn't breath. I flailed my way over to a smallish rock jutting out from the big rock and I clung to that while I tried to breath. It was not fun, but now Ic an say I seriously almost drowned.
August 1-5, 2007 I went to Spirit West Coast, which is a meeting of a bunch of Christian music artists and speakers. That was a lot of fun, though I got a mild sunburn. I mostly hung out with Jacob or Heather, who was the chaperone in my tent. The girls in my tent were the only ones not to get wet from the fog or freeze for the four nights we were there. Heather, Haily and Ashley were the girls in my tent, and pretty much the only people I could stand besides two of the boys and the adults. I was so happy when I came home and discovered I had easily visible tan lines. I was so, so, sooo happy. Its sad, I know, but that's what I'm like. I'm proud of the fact that I got out of my house so much this summer, and for all of these trips, I walked around for the vast majority of the time, so I may havelost a pound or two. For the spirit trip, I was on my feet from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, but it was totally worth the pain in my feet and the mild sunburn.
I'm sad. My laptop is dead. So, so sad...
This is me if I were a Gaia avvie! Or atleast the closest I cold get.
My dog just burped at me and sneezed on my foot. Dumb dog.
