Demons and Vampires and Werewolves, Oh my!

She had always got home at 8:00 p.m. But tonight, yes tonight she was late. Her name was Melody Shadow, she was one of the most beautiful girls that you would see in a life time. Melody had long, silky smooth black hair and the most beautiful deep sea blue eyes you have ever seen, she was always full of life and happiness. But now her eyes were full of fear as she walked down the dark street. Yet she tries to brighten things up, by thinking of the dance which was what caused her to be late in the first place. Melody had stayed after school to help decorate, so now, she was walking home in the dark. But as happy as she was darkness slowly made its way back into her heart. Her new found happiness had disappeared as she realized that she did not have a date to the dance. The dance was tomorrow night, but most of the guys were already taken. Melody keeps walking wishing she had a date, so she began to think of some guys to ask. Then there was a loud crash, Melody jumped and turned in the direction of the sound. The sound had come from the alley on her right. She began to feel curious about the sound but she new she should keep heading home. Yet she felt drawn to the alley, so she soon found herself in the alley. But she didn’t see anything, ‘I wonder what that was?’ Melody thought. She soon dismissed it and started to head home again, but she stopped when she felt eyes on her. Melody looked around once again, yet seeing nothing. Once again she began to walk home and the whole time she felt eyes watching her.
At Home…
Melody was sitting at her desk drawing, she was just staring at the paper. Her hand moving as if on its own. Before she even knew it, she was done. But she didn’t get to look at it because just then her mother came in the door.
“Hi sweetheart, what are you up to?” Her mother asked watching her daughter as she turned around to face her.
“Ow, about 5’7!” Melody answered back trying not to laugh.
They both gave that little giggle that made every guy turn and smile. Melody looked at her mother and just realized truly how much a like they are. Carrie Shadow was her mother; she had long silky smooth black hair and hazel eyes. She was only a few inches taller than Melody but they looked so much a like, that when you first meet them you swear they must be sisters.
“Okay Miss Smarty pants, what are you doing?” Carrie said with a smile still on her pretty face.
“Nothing really, just drawing.” Melody said in a bored tone of voice.
“Well, can I see it?” She asked with a caring smile as she walked over.
Melody handed her mother the drawing without even looking at it. She sat there waiting to hear a comment from her mother about what she should fix on it, but heard none.
“Well, what do you think?” Melody asked in a curious voice.
“O, it is quite interesting… Where did you get this image from? It looks all most scary but it’s so amazing I can’t take my eyes off it.” Her mother said with a weird expression on her face that she could not read.
“Well here, I have to go get dinner started and do you have your homework finished?” Carrie asked as she headed for the door to leave.
“Yes, I have it all done. So go get dinner started already I’m starving!” Melody said with a big smile.
Carrie smiled back and closed her door, Melody listen as her mom walk down the hall. She let out a sigh as she went back to thinking about the dance but only found darkness around the subject. Then she remembers the look her mom had when she looked at her picture, Melody turn to look at it but stopped. She had no clue what she had drawn and she was afraid to look at it. Yet she was curious, so she looked out of the corner of her eye to see an incredible but scary picture. Melody turned full around to the desk to study the picture more. The picture was remarkable, better than anything she had ever drawn. There were six creatures in the picture, two wolf looking things, up above that was two guys with sharp teeth, and above that was two more guys, but with animal ears and tail. Melody stared at the picture in amazement, not noticing the eyes out side her window looking straight at her. Just as she looked up to see two red eyes looking in at her. She wanted to scream but couldn’t, wanted to run but couldn’t move. She felt cold dark fear all over, creeping its way up into her mind bringing panic with it. She felt scared, trapped, and helpless as it reached a big brown fur covered hand to open her window. But the creature was grabbed and dragged out of site in a blink of an eye. She just stood there not sure what to do, but she snapped out of it. Melody tried to make sense of what she saw, but instead she just went and took a shower. As well as the rest of her bed time route before she went to bed. Her mom had come up to Melody’s room to tell her that dinner was ready but Melody said she wasn’t hungry. Her mother left defeated but decide to fix her a big breakfast in the morning. Melody soon wakes up she felt happy and rested until she remembers that the dance was tonight, Also that she didn’t have a date still. Melody then got up out of bed and got her clothes on for school, she then ate her big breakfast her mom fixed and headed for school. As usual she was there early and Melody began to think about the creature she had seen. But as she thought about it the day seems to just fly by. After school she was in the gym finishing up with the last touches before the dance. When they were done she started her walk back home. But as she walked by the same ally that she heard the loud noise come from, three guys stepped out of its dark shadows. They circled around her, blocking any escape.
“Hey cutie what’s a pretty girl like you doing out this late at night?” The guy in front of her said.
They all started laughing like he just made up the worlds funniest joke. Melody became panic, ‘They must be drunk, I have to get out of here before they do something to me.’ She thought as she looked for an escape. But just then they all started to walk toward her, yet stopped when they were only a foot away from her. Her heart was racing she looked at each of the men to see if she recognized them. The one in front of her had short black hair and green eyes, the one to her back left had white hair and purple eyes, and the last guy on her back right had brown hair and golden-green eyes. ‘I don’t know any of these guys!’ Melody thought as fear ran up her back.
“W…who are y..you and what do y…you want?” Melody asked in a shaky voice.
“Ow, forgive us, where are our manners?” The man to her back left said. “Well my name is Damien.”
“My name is Jack.” The one to her back right side.
“And I am Yoko.” The one in front of her said.
As she looked at each of them she seen a smirk play on to their faces by her frightened one. That is when the fear vanished and anger came to take its place.
“Well, you answer one of my questions. Now tell me what you want because I have to go.” Melody said in annoyed tone of voice.
They all looked to each other than turned and looked straight at her. Melody did not like the look they were giving her and started to panic again.
“You!” They said in unison.
They started to walk closer to her, she felt nothing but fear as they came closer and closer. It seemed like forever as they moved in on her.
“What are you guys doing up past your bed time and without your mommy holding your hand.” He had Blond hair and greenish-blue eyes. “And the names’ Zeek.”
“Will you quite showing off!” Said another guy with Black hair and bluish-green eyes.
The two new guys started to argue and fight, but stopped when another guy walk up under the street light. He had brown hair and green eyes.
“My name is Lucifier and the second goof wad is Koga.” Lucifier said with a small friendly smirk.
“Hey, that was not funny!” Koga yelled at his buddy.
Just then everyone went silent and Melody felt the intensity from these six guys. But just then Yoko, Damien, and Jack started laughing. She looked at them with a weird expression but looked to Zeek, Lucifier, and Koga to see a glare on their handsome faces.
“Why don’t you little boys run back to mommy and we wouldn’t kick your butts.” Jack said with a big smirk on his face.
It was Koga who stepped up with a come back this time. “Didn’t you guys hear we moved out when we were 18 years old, and by the way that’s your mom calling.”
Koga gave Zeek a high five and stood next to Lucifier as he looked past the three to Melody. She just stood there not making a sound or moving, ‘I wonder if she is even breathing’ Lucifier thought to himself. Just then in a blink of an eye Koga and Zeek disappeared and reappear in front of melody. Zeek took her right hand and Koga took her left hand.
“Will you be my girlfriend, I promise to protect you with my life.” They said at the same time with a serious yet loving expression.
‘Girlfriend! Their lives! Their nuts!’ Melody just looked at them like they were crazy, just then Lucifier appear and grabbed them by their ears.
“Okay you to stop before you scary the poor girl to death.” Lucifier said as he let them go with an annoyed look on his face.
“Are you okay?” Lucifier asked with a sparkle in his green eyes.
‘Wait, he only moved them two out of the way so he could make a move on me!’ Melody thought annoyed.
“Yeah I’m fine, thanks.” Melody said with a blush, as a small smirk appeared on his face.
Just then Yoko, Zeek, Damien, Jack, and Koga grabbed Lucifier and pulled him away from Melody. She just stood there with a raised eyebrow, watching them drag a kicking Lucifier.
“Stop looking at her like that!” They all said in union, while they circled around Lucifier.
Melody just stood there looking at the guys, than she started to laugh. ‘They look like a football team during a game’, she giggled and then it hit her. ‘Wait, they’re not watching me so I can make my escape!’ Melody thought as she started to step back. Her eyes staying on the boys, they did not notice her moving yet. But just then a midnight blue mustang came speeding up and stopped in front of Melody. The door opened and inside was her dad.
“Hurry! Get in!” Her father yelled to her.
Melody quickly climbed into the seat and closed the door. The car then shot frontward and Melody looked over at her dad. She could tell he was worried and she seen another emotion on his face but didn’t know what it was. Her dad wouldn’t even look at her, he just looked straight a head. Her dad was Robert Shadow, he had black hair like her moms and hers. But his eyes were like Melody’s, they were deep sea blue. Her dad works at a big company, Mr. Robert Shadow was the vice president of the company, which his father ran for now until Robert was ready to take over. They flew down the road not looking back and melody begin to feel how truly tried she was. Robert glanced over at his daughter to see that she had fallen a sleep. He smiled to himself but fear ran up his back as he knew they wouldn’t stop until they had her. Melody wake up in her bed, she sat up to see that it was still dark out. She got out of bed and went down stairs to see her mom and dad in the den, sitting on the couch. They were talking about something but stopped as they heard her walking into the room.
“Melody, sweetheart, will you come over here for a second so we can talk to you?” Her mother asked through tears.
“What is it mom, dad? And how long was I a sleep?” Melody asked in a scared voice as she looked from her mom to her dad and back again.
“Well, by the time your father got you home it was daylight and you slept all day.” Carrie answered with a small smile.
Melody looked at her mother with a shocked expression on her face as her mother walked over to where she was standing. She put her arms around her shoulders and guided her to the couch. They sat down and her parents looked to each other before starting to explain.
“Honey, do not laugh this is a serious question. Do you believe in demons, vampires, and werewolves?” Her mother asked her.
Melody sat there thinking about the question, she realized that she did. ‘Well after what happened last night who wouldn’t.’ She thought as she repositioned herself.
“Yeah, but why does that have to do with anything?” Melody questioned as she played with her shirt nervously.
“Melody, do you remember those guys you meet in the ally?” Robert said more like a statement then a question.
“Yeah, they were Zeek, Yoko, Lucifier, Damien, Koga, and Jack. That was their names right?” She answered looking at them with an unemotional face.
“Yes, but there is something else that you need to know about them. Melody, they’re not…” Robert didn’t get to finish as they heard the front door burst open.
Carrie grabbed Melody and ran to one of the corners, her dad stood in front of them. Just then a huge brown haired dog looking thing that also looked like a man walked into the den and stopped just six foot away. Melody looked up at the huge creature remembering that night outside her window but it wasn’t the same thing. This one had golden-green eyes, not red eyes. But she was pulled from her thoughts as she seen Yoko and Damien standing on each side of the creature. Yet even with her so scared she still noticed that they had changed. Yoko looked the same but his hair was longer and he had ears. He also had a long tail behind him moving from side to side. Damien didn’t look like he had changed at all on the outside, but on the inside he did and she noticed. She seen unnatural fang like teeth as he smirked at her fearful expression. They just stood there looking past her dad straight at her, Carrie trying to cover her from sight. But then they started to move toward them, yet her father did not move. Robert was planted in his spot no matter how close they came, but he began to feel nerves, scared, and fear for his for his beloved family.
“Yoko, Damien, and Jack what do you want?” Robert asked, no more like demanded an answer to.
Melody looked in shock at the creature in the middle. ‘Now I understand what my dad was going to tell me. That their not human, they are creatures of darkness, pure evil. I can feel the darkness around their bodies. I’m so scared, they scary me. Why do I feel so cold, no the room is cold or is it just me. Am I going crazy no I can’t be… but what is this terrible feeling? Is it fear…’. Melody began to feel panic creep up she kept her eyes on the three, but then noticed something. Her father was gone and so was her mother. She began to panic more, she looked around the room looking for her parents. Then she seen them, against the wall on the other side of the room lying on the floor not moving, maybe not even breathing she wasn’t sure. She looked up at the three monsters now standing right in front of her. They smiled down at her as she grew pale and a terrified expression came across her face. Just then every thing seemed to go in slow motion as Jack’s hand move to grab Melody. She pulled her legs to her chest and put her forehead on her knees. Tears make their way down Melody’s face as she waited for what was to come, but she never felt it. Melody looked up to see another dog-man looking thing, pulling Jack away from her. She looked at the creature and noticed something familiar about it. She then remembers those red eyes outside her window and felt nothing but fear as she sat there helpless, not able to move. After a few seconds’ two more familiar figures stepped into the room, it was Zeek and Lucifier. But they were different Zeek’s hair was longer with sliver ears and a tail. Yet Lucifier looked the same but he now had two long sharp teeth. She looked at the dog-man creature with red eyes and realized that it had black fur. ‘So if that one is Jack, then this one must be Koga.’ Melody thought as she looked at the two groups. They were standing straight across from each other, as she looked at the picture she remember the drawing she had done. They looked just like it, the two… ‘Wait a minute… didn’t mom ask me if I believed in demons, vampires, and werewolves. So then Zeek and Yoko are demons, Lucifier and Damien are vampires, and then Koga and Jack are werewolves!’ Melody thought as she watched them preparing to fight. But then Damien stopped and turned to Melody who was still sitting on the floor.
“Well, it seems you have finally figured out what we real are.” Damien said with a smirk showing off his sharp teeth.
Melody started to feel light head, her heart racing. She felt like she was going to pass out and she did. She opened her eyes slowly as she tried to sit up but fell back on the bed. Her head hurt and she felt weak, she just lay there trying to rest. Just then the door opened, she heard foot steps approaching her bed. But the room went quiet, she listen yet heard nothing. She kept her eyes close and pretended to be a sleep still. Soon a familiar voice broke the silence.
“Is she going to be okay?” Questioned a sad Zeek.
“Lucifier said she would and that all she need was some rest.” Replied a sad Koga.
Just then Lucifier came walking into the room, Koga and Zeek at him, they notice dark circles under eyes. They felt bad for him, Lucifier hadn’t slept any. He had stayed up the past week that Melody was unconscious. Truthfully they had all hadn’t been able to sleep.
“Has she waked up any?” Lucifier asked as he touched her pale face.
“No…” Zeek and Koga answered in union.
“Why? Why haven’t you woken up yet? We’re so worried about you… Please wake up…please?” Lucifier said as crimson red tears fell down his cheeks.
Lucifier didn’t know it but Zeek and Koga were crying as well. They all just stayed there not moving, not saying a word. Just letting their tears say everything they felt deep down inside.
“Let’s leave her a lone so she can rest.” Lucifier said as he got up to leave.
But then a small hand shot up and grab his hand not letting him leave. They turned around to see a smiling Melody sitting up and looking at them with love in her eyes.
“Melody!!” They yelled in union.
She let out a laugh as the three rushed to hug her, which end with Lucifier hugging Melody on the left, Koga on the right and Zeek just got in the front. So there they were having a group hug. After a few minutes they broke the hug and sat down on the bed with Melody.
“We’re so glad you’re a wake!!” They said in union.
“Me to!” She said with a giggle. Then she remembered her parents. “Wait, where are my parents?!” She asked in a worried voice.
“Don’t worry their fine. Jack just knocked them out, so there are no injuries, but they are going to have one major headache when they wake up.” Koga said answering her question.
“Yeah, I have that covered.” Zeek said with a big smile.
“How?” Koga asked looking at his friend curious of his answer.
“Easy, Tylenol!” Zeek said laughing his head off.
Melody soon joined him and before they knew it, they all were laughing.
“Well, there is only one thing I can say.” Melody stated.
They all looked at her and said “What’s that?”
“The future is going to be quiet interesting!” She answer as they all began to laugh all over again.
