The Promise

Elena ran down the hallways heading to the execution grounds. "Kenny... You better not die on me." Those thoughts ran through her mind all the way there.


"Elena I want you to go to the Execution grounds." He smiled. "I have a feeling something big is going to happen." Kenpachi was wrapped up but he looked alot better than he did when they first got to Division 4.

"What will you do...Go get yourself killed?" Elena stared out the window. She refused to look at him.
Ikkaku let out a sigh. "Well, we have Orihime with us. And the captian wants to find Ichigo so we really can't go and watch the execution."
Elena sighed and turned to look at Ikkaku. Kenpachi was catching on that she wasn't going to look at him. "Allright, I'll go." She then turned to the door and began to walk out of it.

Kenpachi lowered his gaze after he heard her footsteps fade into the distance. He let out a sigh.
Ikkaku closed his eyes and smiled. "She's really gotten under your skin, hasn't she?Captain?"
Kenpachi leaned his head and scratched his neck. "Well, I can take her being dissapointed in me, but....I can't stand it when she refuses to look at me."
Ikkaku and Yumichika chuckled. "Your getting weak, Captain."
Kenpachi glared at the two, causing them to shudder. "We're kidding!"

Elena continued to run as fast as the wind. She looked up ahead to see the gaint blade. Her running came to a stop as she saw Chi standing alone.

"Chi?"She took a step forward, extending her hand out. "Hey, w-Where is everyone?"
Chi turned around quickly. Elena stared into the fox-girl's eyes. "Chi?..."Then Elena felt the cold blade run into her. She looked down to see a blade straight through her. Everything around her began to take form and she saw they were actually around many people.

She looked behind her to see Gin's smile. "This was a great plan. Captain Aizen." The sword slid from her insides and out her back. She fell forward onto Chi. Her blood smeared all over Chi's clothes.
Elena looked up at Chi with tears staining her eyes. "Chi....what...whats going on?...."

"Ah, Elena. It's good to see you." Elena turned to see the man she thought was dead.
"Aizen...." she whispered. "I don't understand...." she gripped Chi's pants leg and held her stomach. "What is going on?!" She screamed but blood bursted through her mouth.

But she never got her answer. A yellow light surrounded Aizen and Gin. She noticed how Yorouchi and Soi Fon jumped out the way but she couldn't move. She felt a sudden kick to her side flinging her far away.

She watched as Chi floated into the air. Elena gripped the ground and held her stomach as she watched her friend go into the darkness. She let out a growl and began to scream. "CHI!! I promise! I'll find you! I swear on my life! I will! So befor I go searching, be sure to go back to the way you were!" She coughed up more blood and rolled over to her side. She looked back up to see Gin's smirk. She let out a snarl. "You'll regret this...Gin."
