I am an idiot. Now, this is no surprise to some of you glares, but yes, I do tend to retain qualities assigned to les buffons. Except, this is a good idea. Most of one, anyway. There is this thing called Nanowrimo that happens every November. It's not a contest or a competition. It's a challenge. Write 50,000 words between Nov. 1, and Nov. 30. Send the manuscript to them via an encryption method, have a word count verify your work, and receive a shiny little certificate saying you did it. That's it. Nifty and neat, huh? So, yes, Kira is doing this. I've got a book idea that's been skittering around for a while, and it's going to get taken care of. Hopefully. sweatdrop I even told my Dad and little sister about this. The two author wannabes (of which I am one too, of course blaugh ) are still debating on the veracity of such a mad scheme. So am I, for that matter. Wish me luck. Anyone else wanna participate? 	That sounds really cool Kira. Good luck with it. Does it have to be a complete manuscript? I'd like to try, but I don't think I have enough time with everything going on.....sniff But I'm excited for you! I think it's a good idea because it forces you to just write without worrying to much about what you write. (Or so it sounds to me, because you have to make a word count within a certain amount of time.) This should help with your over-editing issues you were talking about earlier in your journal. 	Nope, it doesn't have to be a complete manuscript. The only requirement is that you hit 50,000 words. They've even got a word-counting feature where you upload your manuscript in an encrypted format, they count it, and then automatically delete it. No copyright infringement! mrgreen I dunno Celes. You might have enough time. I was planning on spending about a half hour a day, and if I just type.....shrugs It's just a challenge, too. If you don't make it, it's okay. You just sign up for next year if you've really got a need to win, and you've got some usable material no matter what you do, you know? wink My theme for this one is not the time loop. That one is getting written out in rough draft format, cut into pages, and then stuffed into a comic, at some point. The book is fantasy based, and the working title is Pandora Rune. It's about a box that should never be opened (of course xd ). I've got minotaurs as my dominant species on this world, and magic is rune-based (or rumic). 	I think you should post it in the story circle. nod So we can all read it and give you feed back if you would like. Or not, if you think it would distract you too much. It's sounding pretty cool. Should be slightly challenging to have a dominant species that is not human. Many things would be similar, but a few things would be different since they would have slightly different physical need.
