Serena slowly began to move away, obviously she hadn't yet been seen or sensed. To Dimitri, the smell of the werewolf probably covered up her own smell, and to the werewolf, the smell of Dimitri probably covered up for Serena. So as Serena saw the werewolf get in a stance to once again try and attack Dimitri, she ran behind it, not hesitating she let out a fierce yell and stabbed her new knife as hard as she could right between the man-wolf's shoulder blades, The werewolf staggered slightly in his stance and then whipped around, with what was probably the last of its energy, and Serena, not being able to move fast enough because she was only human, was caught by her side with a large paw/hand and flung a short ways through the air into the forest behind them. The blow had already knocked the wind out of her, but the landing took her by suprise. She hardly knew she had been hit, so when she hit the ground she rolled and came to her feet before staggering a bit and falling to her knees, grasping her side where four bloody scratches now trailed from her stomach, up to her ribs, and wrapped around her back. The blood seeped through her shirt. Scratches, bruises, and bumps were already begining to form from the landing and she had a sudden terrible headache. She cursed under her breath and began to cry -though she tried not to- as the pain hit, she coughed a little bit and a trail of blood came out of the side of her mouth. She looked up with a defiant, stubborn, and determined expression. The glare of hate in her eyes, seen even through tears and the hair that now hung in her face. She wiped away the blood from her mouth with the back of her hand and placed one foot on the ground, when she looked up thats when she realized she had done what she had hoped, which was she had distracted the werewolf and its attention was now on her. That meant Dimitri could easily finish the flea-ridden mutt off.
She also realized, if the werewolf were to charge at her, to finish her off despite the blade she had shoved through his chest, she now had no weapon. Her 11 inch knife still stuck out between the were-mans shoulder blades, and a rock or a stick would do no good as protection. So she struggled to her feet, hoping she wouldn't have to try to fight, because it was certain that she would die if worse came to worse. She hoped Dimitri would finish things.
