I see you there. In the clearing, waiting for me. Lying in the soft grass. Listening in the breeze...for me. I ran like the wind to meet you. A blur of soundless speed, rippling the air currents as I rushed to see you. Laughing as I ran. You always said how you loved when I laughed, my trailing laughter teasing you like a ghost. I knew you would come to meet me, I sent message through the wind. I knew it would wake you in the night while you slept. You always did sleep lightly, but dreamt like a falling stone- deep into the Earth's core. All I had to do was speak your name, and you would know to find me. Oh how I love having your name on my lips. The sound of song from blue birds flying across the sky of a painting. Your name; like a myth, like sweet whispers in the silent forest. I see you from the shadows of the woods, prolonging our sweet embrace just to watch you. And admire you as you stretch out your arms to the sky, reaching up high as if to taste the sun with your fingertips. I step out the shadows and run into your arms. And we laugh as we hear the woodlands whisper stories of our love. By: e.v.a.
