Mood: Proud
Well, first off...HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY to everyone. ^___^ I hope your day goes well...If you DON'T live in the U.S.A. then that's ok. 3nodding Well, today is July 4th, and this is when America celebrates the anniversary of it's independence, and so, I had to give a speech...with imaginative musical accompanyment. ;D
*an instrumental version of "The Star Spangled Banner" begins to play*
Today is July 4th, 2005. In America we celebrate in our gaining of independence years ago. However, we do not just think about our freedom, but for the people who helped gain that freedom. It is because of the soldiers, the men, and the woman who helped one another in a grave time to gain our freedom. Because of those people, we can do what we like to today. We can choose our religion. Our spouse. Our job. Our belongings. Today we can say what we want. We have the right to bear arms. We have the right to choose everything, even our sexual preference...*mumbles* even though Bush is against it ;x </3....*kicks Bush* ahem...If it were not for the courage of those American citizens long ago, we may never have had freedom. So today, I am thankful for America, and for the soldiers and citizens who won that right over. Even though I talk somewhat bad about my country, I am PROUD of being an American. I love my country, and I will love my country to the very end of my being. No matter what goes on in the U.S.A., I was born and raised here, and this is my home. So God bless the U.S.A. 3nodding
