Guess what? Fear my stories! Ok....you don't have to...
More of my story
Town… A black vortex appeared and spat out a form that lay as if he were broken. The vortex closed and he sat up. “Whoa what a nightmare.” He looked around. “Where am I?” He started walking and wound up in a coffee shop. “How may I help you young sir?” “Can I get a vanilla coffee?” “Yes sir you may. And how will you be paying?” “I shall pay with cash. That is if the form of payment is suitable to your desires.” “Any form of payment is suitable to my desire young sir. 3.5O is your total.” He sighed. “I guess caffeine isn’t cheap anymore is it?” He reached for his wallet and pulled out a 5 dollar bill and handed it to the shopkeeper. “Keep the change.” “Thank you young sir.” The shopkeeper went to the till, put the money in and went to make the young sir his coffee.
Back on the path
The path finally ended and she found herself in town. She felt the magical remains of the vortex and sighed. A visitor already? He or she is probably in the coffee shop ordering coffee. She laughed at the thought and entered. She spotted the person right of the bat. He had short, black wavy hair and figures as much, had already ordered his coffee. His eyes were a dark-blue, and his face had more of a demon/human look but it still knocked her off her feet in figurative way. He looked up at her and smiled one of those smiles that simply stated Love me, hate me, torture me, you name it. Nothing will hurt me anymore. Its all been done. “Are you the mistress of this town?” He asked her, sounding quite content. His voice was a melodic tenor and she knew that there was more to him that meets the eye but she also noticed the sent of blood that hung off him. “Not mistress. You are wounded. You should go and have it checked out.” She looked him squarely in the eye. “Before trouble finds you.” He laughed and beckoned her over. She came and he stood up. “Terrance is my name and I would beg of you to keep me company.” “Rei is mine but I can guarantee that it’s not my real name. As for keeping you company, I shall with great honour.” He raised one eyebrow in question. “If Rei is not your real name then why give it?” “Because I cannot remember my real name. It is what people have been calling me these past few years. It stuck and now I go by it. Is that a problem?” “No. Of course not. I shall know now for the future. It is a pleasure to meet you.” “And a pleasure it is to meet you as well.” She pulled out a chair and sat down. He sat down and continued to drink his coffee. She looked around then sighed. “What are you doing here in this town?” “Wandering about actually. I came here on accident but it is of no small matter.” “No small matter huh? Looks like you’ve got problems.” He looked at her startled. “What do you mean by that?” “Exactly as I said. The vampires don’t appreciate new comers who just happen to come here by accident. You could be a spy for the lycans…which I highly doubt. But I’ll keep my mouth shut about this. You should too.” “Why?” “No telling whose side the human’s are on. The lycans and the vampires have been recruiting mortals ever since the war started…And from by the looks of it the war has gotten worse…a lot worse.” Terrance looked up at the mention of war. “War you say?” “Yes. And it is no laughing matter. We need to preserve order and the way of life. The Lycans though…I’m not to sure.” “What are these ‘lycans’?” “You haven’t heard the term Lycan?” He shook his head and motioned for her to continue. “Lycan is another term for Werewolf…I have got to ask…how did you survive this long?” “I fight to survive. Isn’t that what everybody else does?” “Depends on the creature you’re referring to. Lycans recklessly kill and turn their prey. Vampires own blood banks, recruit only those who wish to be turned and fight the Lycans on a daily basis. Mortal men and women fight daily.” “The mortals fight daily? What do they fight about?” “Daily chores, money, their jobs, who they were with and the friends they’ve been hanging out with.” She laughed. “You really don’t get out much do you?” “I’m kind of a loner. I haven’t been in this realm for more than an hour and I’ve already-” Rei had stood up, “I am terribly sorry but I have to cut the pleasantries short.” She walked to the door and left. Terrance just sat there looking at the spot where Rei used to sit. He finished his coffee then left to follow Rei. She took a left then walked into the forest. He followed closely. He couldn’t help but think of how beautiful Rei was. She had shoulder length hair that was red with sections of black and had blue eyes. Her face also told him that she didn’t care of what anybody thought of her. And her face said don’t judge me by my looks or my words, but my actions and how I take care of things. He also couldn’t help but admire how she walked…god it was enough to make any man, demon or god insane! That’s when he noticed that she was no longer in his sight. “Why are you following me? Or are you lost?” Rei said from behind. “Damn it.” Terrance swore softly then turned around to face her. “I’m just taking in the sites.” “Just like a tourist. Tell me Terrance. What is your real reason for walking in the forest at night?” Terrance shrugged. “You managed to peak my curiosity. Is that a problem?” “It could be for you. I don’t take kindly to stalkers.” “And I don’t take kindly to people that walk away when others are in the middle of a sentence.” Rei smiled. “Guess I hurt your feelings.” She started pacing. “So you want an apology?” “If it suites you.” “Don’t give me that. A man like you just doesn’t appear in Catonsville without a purpose!” Rei took out BloodOath and pointed it in Terrance’s direction. Terrance took one look at the sword then pulled out his own. “Nice sword. Is that BloodOath?” “It would be. And yours is Tekai.” “You know my sword?” Terrance looked shocked but it was a look that was meant to throw his enemies off guard. “It is a most famous sword. But it comes second to BloodOath. Now tell me your real reason for coming to Catonsville? Or do I have to get nasty?” “Like I told you before, I came here with no clue. Is that a satisfying answer?” “It could be.” Rei sheathed her sword but kept her hand on the handle. She then walked into the forest again. Terrance followed but didn’t sheathe his sword. “Where are you headed?” “No where that is of your concern. Unless you want to get slaughtered?” “And why would I get slaughtered?” “Because you are an outsider!” She turned around and walked up to him. “Do you not understand? You are different. Therefore you will be killed on sight.” She turned around and started to walk away but Terrance grabbed her arm and swung her around so that she was facing him. His face looked serene and her anger just suddenly melted away. “If you vouch for me then I will be safe.” “Yes. But why would I want to vouch for you?” “Because I feel like I’ve known you for awhile. And I know you do too.” “It is true. But I feel as if we had so much more…” “Then you would vouch for me?” “Yes. But only for tonight. You’ll have to make peace with the Elders if your to be seen at the mansion.
More will be had when my brain starts working again
