Gale and Ellie met with Cid and Sophie outside of the house. "Gale.. whats that..." Gale smiled. "Its my new little pet. His name is Xoutan." Cid sighed. "He has a soft spot for wolves.... Demon wolves too I guess...." The little wolf gave off a high pitched squeal and jumped on Sophie. She flinched as it landed on her shoulder and licked her face. She smiled. "Wow.... its cute" Gale laughed. Ellie and Cid smiled. "Its good to see him show some form of emotion...." Ellie nodded. Sophie opened the door and they began to walk inside. Lenn was waiting there. "Where have you been...... And what is that?!" Xoutan jumped back to Gale and hid from her. "Its Xoutan.... My new pet... Like it or not he stays." Lenn sighed. "Its a Demon.... It could hurt someone." Gale laughed as Xoutan peaked his head out at Lenn. "He is just as harmless as your daughter...." Xoutan jumped down from Gale and slowly walked to Lenn. He sniffed her for a moment and then nudged her leg. Lenn smiled. "He is cute.... I mean... He still can't stay." Gale looked at her with an amused look. "Who are you to kick someone out of MY house...?" Lenn sighed. "I hate when you do that....." The little girl came out of her room. "Whats going on? Gale.... whats that?" Xoutan looked up at her and pounced on her. She laughed as Xoutan start licking her face. "See.... harmless...." "Hanna... his name is Xoutan." Hanna smiled and began to pet Xoutan. "Well can we keep him?" Gale nodded and Lenn sighed. "Yeah I guess....." Gale laughed. "I didn't give your mom a choice." Gale and the others put their weapons in the store room. "So how much did you guys earn?" Cid counted out the money. "A little under two thousand..... how bout you?" Gale sighed. "Just under twenty-two hundred..... Xoutan WAS one of the marks so we lost a little on him. But it was worth it." Hanna yawned. "Can he stay with me?" Gale laughed. "Not tonight.... I dont think your mom would approve of it.. And I don't have anything on her for that....." Hanna sighed and gave Xoutan to Gale and walked back to her room. Lenn glared at Gale. "You are going to cost us too much extra money with that thing....." Gale laughed. "He only ate an entire stable full of animals... He can't be that hungry now. Besides it was a process of weeks...." Gale gathered up all the money and handed out everyones pay. He put what was left in their safe. "More than usual thanks to the old man from earlier...." Cid yawned. "Its late.... lets get some sleep..." They each walked off to their rooms. Lenn shared a room with her daughter while Ellie shared a room with Gale. Cid snored so Gale refused to share a room with him. Xoutan sleep next to Gale. All but Ellie slept peacefully through the night.
