Before Gaia became a well known forum name, almost everyone was a member of an online forum. Some of the forum(s) I belonged to ranged from small groups to a large amount of misfits. Those were the days. If you've known me for a long while, then you'll know about the inside joke regarding MSG.
Aside from DeviantArt, there was one community that had a broad range of artists. One in particular was "Pendako". The works of Naska, Cheryl, JK, etc. was the reason why I was drawn in. The whole concept of the "Art Jam" was something I've never done before. It was one of few places where members actually gave some really decent critiques and advice. Unfortunately, the forum slowly died and its members disbanded.
Surprisingly enough, I've kept in touch with past members on other websites. We're planning on meeting up soon here in Las Vegas with my fellow designer/illustrator friends. (Part 2 is finally coming together)
I was hoping to do the same on Gaia, but I haven't encountered any past Pendako peeps here (not yet anyway). I hope things will change over time.
