Tears fall like blood drops As the razor slides Down the lane Not across the street That’s the way it goes Alone again And the pills don’t work But she doesn’t care Her world is black Her sight is gray Her life is blank But she doesn’t notice A rose falls Making ripples in the blood A rose from a boy that doesn’t exist A note from a love that isn’t real Unreadable Soaked through Can’t even move the fingers Cut too deep Cut the tendons Unable to wave goodbye Footsteps Voices Running through the hall Too late It’s just too late There’s nothing left to save now Not even a soul Please bury her deep Please bury her well Make sure she doesn’t come up again And read the note she left In the form of a poem “Tears fall like blood drops…”
